Yes! Yes! Yes and yes! Love it!.

Nice work bringing this one back Tom.

Excellent job John. Love that colour!

Got the paint and most of the trim done this week. The wire wheels that come with the kit are pretty decent, BUT, are WAY too wide, even for the optional wider tyres that come with the kit. Shaved off as much as I dared from the inside faces (about 3-4mm) but are still a little too wide. A couple of drops of super glue stopped them flopping around so all good. Hopefully finish this weekend.

Long and low- therefore I love it! Great job.

Mean looking sled. Great idea with the lighting too.
-
One of my fave Porsches too Mario. Top job!

As mean as one of these can look! Top work on the interior.
-
Fantastic job! Those speakers look like some sort of psy-warfare weapon!
-
Stunning all round! Paint reminds of a shark or something.
-
Whoa! THAT is one gorgeous Deuce.

Turned out beautiful Greg. The windshield frame and headlight grilles are a standard I'll try and aim for on the 53 (and 55) I have in my stash.

Turned out gorgeous David! Nice work.

Real nice! Excellent work on the colour separation.

An entire car named after it's tail lights! Great concept and great model Chuck. Super job.

Thanks Bill. Yeah, that area you mention is probably the major fault of the kit which is why I chickened out a bit on the drag version by leaving the cowl sides off! ?
-
Thanks for that info Earl- I always assumed pics I've seen of '57 300Cs in colours other than 'the' five were custom jobs.
-
Yep. Agreed 100% which is why- apart from maybe flashier wheels and suspension lowering- I'll rarely do custom versions. Having said that, the chop top and rear wheel skirts that come with this particular kit are pretty hard to resist!
-
Best of luck with this Phillip. One of my earliest builds (now stripped back waiting for a rebuild), I remember being impressed by the quality of this kit. Slightly off topic, but one thing I never quite understood re the real thing, factory colour options were limited to five two of which were black and white.
-
One thing I've noticed is a lot of box art and advertising art from back in the day tended to depict the car lower, longer and even wider than it actually was. Re this current kit, even if one wanted to build the Barris custom, one glaring omission is there's no optional hood with those big long louvres.
-
Wow! Top job on this. Carb linkages and other engine detail really add!
-
Now THAT is one gorgeous Packard. Beautiful job!

If I've only got one example of a kit (as with this one) I'll go stock virtually every time. The Barris movie custom certainly is cool, but like you say Dennis, the stock 65 Riviera styling is pretty hard to beat.
