Thanks Bob. The top fit was a bit tricky. I didn't have to resort to putty (which I try to avoid at all costs on any build) but there was a 1/16 or so gap on both sides where the rear door line meets the roof that I filled with plastic sheet. I have a third kit yet to build that will definitely getting the custom top-chop and rear wheel skirts.

Agreed! Excellent job on this beauty.

Nice work on this one Steve. Looks ready to hit the dunes! -
Nice original Vette. Creative stuff on the headlight mesh. Big improvement over the molded clear plastic ones that come with the kit.

Cool little fun model! Nicely built Scott.

Looks great! These little Suzukis sell well here in Australia.

Another treat for our eyes Louis! Beautiful job mate. -
What a brute! Love it.

Now that is nice. Beautiful car.

I usually procrastinate for ages about how I'm going to build a new project but not this time. Stock. Kit wire wheels and knock-offs. Champagne Mist. Locked in.

Super smooth Carl! Top job. Those broad whitewalls really suit. I can't decide myself which colour top is the better but would probably lean slightly towards the tan.

Wow! This is an interesting build! Nice job Alex. Do you know if this kit based on an actual modified 40 Ford or fiction? Either way I like it!

Looks great David. Not familiar with this Revell- when you say pre-decorated from what I can see I assume there is still some painting involved?
-
Now that is one nice Charger. Neat paint application and finish too.

Thanks Bill. Oh yeah, shortcomings it definitely has: let's just say that engine is a very 'snug' fit! And as to having to put those headers on AFTER the engine went in...... ask my wife about all the new swear words I invented. But to me there's this 'it' factor that these old AMTs have that keep me coming back.

Looks great Walter. Excellent job. These Hot Wheels builds always bring back fond memories of the actual Hot Wheels cars I had as a kid. Got the 'Mongoose And Snake' funny car set one Christmas. Best Christmas ever!!

Looks fantastic Tom! Been hunting around for this kit for a while now. Seeing yours is making me look harder!
-
Very nice. There's a couple of beautifully restored examples of these (coupe and convertible) getting around my home town.
-
Real nice! Well done on the tricky paint application too.

Thanks Andrew. The wire itself is the usual aftermarket stuff. The boot ends are short lengths of insulation (that just happens to fit over perfectly) stripped from suitable size wire- in this case the cable from old landline telephones which has multiple strands of assorted colours.

Something tells me this is going to end in a stunning model.

Just finished this one today. Mostly a box art build and done with craft acrylics with floor shine clear. I just posted an older build of the same kit done as a stock roadster over in the model cars thread. Thanks for looking.

Did this a while back and after a bit of a spruce up showing it here along with the newly finished drag version over in the appropriate Under Glass thread. A box art build using rattle can enamels with airbrushed acrylics for the interior. I love this old Trophy kit and have a third one that will be definitely be getting the top chop custom treatment! Thanks for looking.

Clean work! And that colour......
