  1. Yes my fellow canuck, we are being excluded again.
  2. I found a set of GMP's Can Am wheel's on Legacy Motors website. Now my McLaren will look correct. Now if I can find a second set, I'll redo the one I did when I was 12.
  3. If Darth Vader raced, he'd drive this.
  4. I have two kit want's. The first would be a Frisbee Can Am in 1/20th. There are a few decal choice's you could have such as the J. Villenuve Canadian Tire car or the Horst Kroll Chipwich Charger or his City of Scarborough racer. Then the second one would be a 1958 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door. Both are going to be long shots.
  5. Cool!!! The more shows in our area the better.
  6. Tamiya is releasing a T70 with a PE sheet. With any luck Tamiya will sell the PE on it's own.
  7. This was the first large scale kit that I built when I was 11 or 12 years old and I still have the model. And yes, it still looks like it was built by a 12 year old. Now that it's being released once again, I want to do a better job on this one. Hence the question about the wheels. I saw these cars race back in the day and I was impressed by the speed and the big V8 sound that made the ground shake. My question for 808racefan is , does GMP have a website?
  8. I've ordered many times from them and have been very happy with their service.
  9. WOW After seeing the pictures of the melted tires on that funnycar model, I went and checked some of my older Tamiya and Protar F1 kits for dryrot. Kit tires that have sat around in their boxes for 10 to 20 years or longer, showed no signs of this problem. I think that the way I store my kits may help. I keep my kits in my basement hobby room and only a few kits are still shrink wraped. The room is not damp or too hot or cold. The temp. in the basement is around 70 to 72 degrees year round. But I did notice that one of my old MPC McLaren Mk8D kits tires were starting to show some sort of weirdness.
  10. You can find it at Canadian Tire and at Wal-Mart.
  11. Denise and I were married September 11 1982, 28 years and two kids later were still together.
  12. Can't you guys just let this go ? Good god get a life.
  13. I'd have to put these three kits up for concideration. 1)MPC McLaren Mk8d. The reissue kit in orange plastic is the most ill fitting kit I've ever built. 2)Any FDS 1/43rd F1 kit in the green boxes. Castings and small parts are garbage and poorly cast. The decals and the rubber tires are the only good things about the kit. 3)The heller JS-11 & RE30 in 1/12th scale. I've got both and when I take these kits out to look them over, I hear an evil laugh and something telling me to put them back. I've seen the JS-11 done ( a lot of scratch building went into it )& the guy who finished it is a better man then I.
  14. Wow. Would you be interested in doing replacment wheels for Tamiya's 1/18 McLaren M8a reissue ?
  15. Since tamiya is reisuing the McLaren 1/18th scale Can-Am car, is someone going to do replacement wheels & tires for this kit as the ones that come with it are not the correct ones for the car.I've seen die-cast models with the correct wheels, hopefuly someone with do resin or white metal copies. The question is will anyone do it.
  16. $10.00 to ship? Mine was free shipping from the US to Canada.
  17. I agree 100% You'll be sorry the moment the kit goes in the mail
  18. I ordered my sample last week and got it today. The stuff looks easy to work with and you can glue it with urethane glue ( Gorilla glue )but here's the rub. This stuff is EXPENSIVE !!!!!! The supplier in my area only sell's this in 4 X 8 sheets and will not cut to order or sell scraps. The cost for a sheet of this will run you $ 637.10 for the RPU 3000 - 18. To buy one sheet by yourself is very cost prohibitive. This is a product that unless you've got deep pockets, this is something that a club could go in on. This sample set should and will last a long while and won't be wasted. I phone the CSR in California and asked him about the type of glue to use. He said that regular old Gorilla Glue, Urethane two part glue, and will work well with Epoxy Glue also.
  19. Frog 1/72 Tribal Class Destroyer. I was 7 years old.
  20. Nice work. I alway's liked the Cartoon Network cars and have a few of them in my to do pile. But I have question. Shouldn't the first two cars be slab-sided Monte Carlos not the round rocker panel cars?
  21. At last count done to update the house hold insurance policy 3267 unbuilt. Ive got 120 built. I collect more then I build.
  22. Chicken-n-n-n Man-n-n-n-n !!!! He's every where, He's every where ! Ah the memories. This program was done by a group of Canadian writers and voice over actors from Toronto and Monteral who worked at CBC Radio ( Canadian Broadcasting Corporation )in the early 70's and went by the stage name The Dr. Bundolo Comedy Hour. These guys used to show up on NPR in the US as well as Dr Demento's radio program. I don't know where you can find any of the Chicken Man programs on the web, but it should be some where.
