  1. This is great news Art. I've been wanting to do a 1/16th rail for a long time now, so I can't wait.
  2. My girlfriend's parents had a Pacer. It was the most uncool car to go to the drive-in with. Not too much back seat action in that fish bowl.
  3. I keep a good supply of sprues on hand, the rest I put in the Blue Box for recyling.
  4. That sound you hear in the background is the sound of the Lawyers rubbing their hands in glee, with dollar signs dancing in their beadie little rat's eye's.
  5. That's a mould type that I hadn't considered using for making tires. I was going to use a two part mould for the job. I'm going to give this a try.
  6. Like Carl, mine also comes in a white envelope with a address label on it. I've only had a one time problem with Canada Post and torn covers. And I too hoard my modeling magazines.
  7. Yes, 15 inch's. But there was a company called Liberty Model & Pattern that did Halibrands in white metal for sports cars. I don't know if their still in business though.
  8. Me too, but my local hobby shop didn't sell Polar Light's Nascar kits for $4.50 a pop.
  9. Vancouver B.C or Vancouver Washington ?
  10. This is one over the top build my friend, keep up the most excelent work. but I have one question for you. The rubber plate that you got from Lowe's, which department would I find this plate in ?
  11. My first car was a 69 Nova. 6 cyl auto, bought it off of the teacher who ran the A.V. dept. in my high school. Nice car. Wish I could find another one.
  12. Some say.... That you've been watching too much Top Gear.
  13. Folk lore about this film is the driver could be one of three French Grand Prix drivers who knew the director ( Larouse , Lafeet or Beltouse ) and did the driving on a dare. So many red lights, so little time.
  14. Try Strada Sports @ www.stradasports.com they carry Sakatsu products.
  15. I've had good luck at estate sales, but Goodwill and the Sally-Ann have been a bust for me. Maybe it's different in the US, but up here in Canada it's the worst place for second hand kits.
  16. This car was on My Classic Car a week or two ago and it looked striking. This should be a fantastic WIP !
  17. What's my weakness? Large breasted Redheads in Stelettos. But seriously it's painting with rattle cans. sometime's I can get it right, and other times it just goes all wrong, and I have to strip it down and start over.
  18. You can try this, it's called German Machine Green.
  19. Well, after sitting down and going though my inventory lists I came up with this. With all the Plastic kits & Resin kits, tools , airbrushes & compressor, i figure that I've got about $25 K tied up in my obsession. P.S. Don't tell the wife, or I'm dead.
  20. As a matter of fact, Yes ! Go to SpotModels website www.spotmodel.com and have alook at what they have from Studio27. I've ordered the Flying Lizards ALMS decals and the 911 Hybrid GT3R decals. and I think that there are more on the way as well.
  21. I was at work and had just got back to my cubical from a production meeting and was looking forward to getting out of work at noon as my wife and I were going out that night for our 20th wedding anniversary. I had Howard Stern on my radio, and was listening to his commentary on what was going on. We all went down to the board room to watch the events on TV, and could not belive it when the towers fell. The trip back home on the GO train was surreal, we pulled into Union Station, and watched as heavely armed police and troops patroled the platforms. Needless to say, we didn't go out that night and we realy don't mark our anniversary much any more.
