  1. Maybe Spike will step up and add Gearz and a few other programs to their weekend line up.
  2. You can find this program on You Tube. The whole series that James May did is there as well. As for the Spitfire he built being the worlds largest model kit, I believe that the Avro Arrow built in Toronto at the Downsview Park Canadian Air and Space Museum held the record for that. But I could be wrong about that point.
  3. OMG, I've seen this rolling POS on the road a few times, as I live in same Province as the owner. I just wish that the police would pull the tags on this thing and write him a ticket for littering the road ways.
  4. Have you tried looking at Chapters? I get mine from my LHS , Randy always has my favorite mag in stock.
  5. Thanks for the encouragement Joe. Being over 50 and going back to school is not that hard. It's just getting use to the work load in theory, the practical work is easy. But home work is the killer as I want to keep ahead of the coarse.
  6. School kind of did me in for modeling time. I've got home work every day that takes up 2 hours or more, plus the class time during the day.
  7. In true 60's fashion, This site is Bitchin dude !!!! Bookmarked !!
  8. I have a ABC extinguisher as well.
  9. Three things 1) My Dremel tool with flex shaft 2) Badger 250 air-brush 3) Xuron cutters ( best things since sliced bread )
  10. I've bought one of his Charger conversion trans-kits. Ron is a easy guy to deal with, and has a fast turn around time for shipping. Go ahead and order, he's ok.
  11. Great tip. I do basically the same thing, but I've got a old fine mesh brass coffee filter instead of using the paper type.
  12. 1) At home 2) My dad 3) Airplanes & Ships 4) RCAF Officer ( Pilot / Flight Instructor ) 5) 5 or 6 6) 1964 or 65
  13. Anne that is just so cool !!!!! I would have never thought of making a steering wheel that way. I bow to your genius.
  14. Hi Scott. You can also try 3M Cloth Medical tape. It has a good weave pattern for 1/12th scale cars and takes colour from a magic marker very well. You've got some interesting PE parts that I could use for my Daytona Charger builds.
  15. My late father would say it's because of a lack of moral fiber.
  16. I wonder if this is the same kit that Revell offered a few years ago ? As we all know, Revell now has the Protar moulds and has sold Protar 1/12th F1 Ferrari kits ( 126C2 and the 312T3 ) under the Revell name.
  17. I'm looking for a couple of sets of 1/16th hood pins. Is this something that you might be doing at a later date?
  18. Since I'm only a 15 minute drive from his shop, I just place an order when I'm in the shop. As for all of these problems with Perry's with slow reply's and slow orders, I've only had one problem with an order and that was because of a batch of bad resin. Also, Randy has said that he is cutting back on the list of parts he casts and sells in his online catalog so your best to send a email to check if he is still casting that part.
  19. Perry's does not make or carry these any more. He's cut back on his catalog items a while back, so your best to go with the Resin Motor Replicas conversion set. I got one from him and the parts are excellent. go to http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm and check it out.
  20. Gone, but not forgotten. F1 was never the same again for me after he left. Salut Gilles.
  21. Here's my 2 cents. # 1 Alclad : follow the directions to the letter, and it turns out fine. # 2 : I have alway's used the back of a # 11 X-acto knife to open up doors, trunks and panel lines on plastic. But for resin I use a panel scriber which works great on the resin. # 3 : I use BMF for masking as well as 3M fine line tape and Tamiya masking tapes.
  22. I forget which kit it was or the company that made it ( I want to say it was Revell, but I could be wrong ) but it was moulded in plastic that was multiple colours, sort of what your dog or cat would throw up. It was absolutely hideous looking.
  23. Or to Canada, which is a shame as they do have a lot of great paints.
