This works very well for me.
1) Place decals in a zip-loc bag.
2) Tape bag to a window that get a lot of sunshine. The more intense the sun light the better
3) Leave taped bag in window for a couple of days, checking after the second day.
4) After 3 to 6 days, the decals should be bleached enough to use.
We have a small town in Northern Ontario named Swastika. During the second world war, the government of Canada wanted to have the name of the town changed to something more patriotic and British sounding. Well the town told them to go to hell, as they pointed out that the town was named long before Hitler came to power and it wouldn't change it. The towns motto during the war was " Hitler be damned, we had it first. "
I'm the same way. I didn't start out to be a collector, I was going to build everything I bought. Then something happened, that I can't put my finger on and I started to look for collectible kits. I buy to build, but I also buy to collect.
If this car is going any place, it's going to a collection in Abu-Dabi or some were in that general area. Arab oil has very deep pockets, and loves old cars.
Had no problems getting on Fred's site after reading the first post. Been dealing with Fred Sterns for years, great guy, a little gruff at times but a great guy to deal with.
Some guy's who ran these cars in Ontario regional racing, ran flared fenders and slicks from formula fords. Cornered like they were on rails. Defiantly going to get a couple of these kits.
If this sale is the real deal, it's better then her putting all his modeling stuff in a pile and setting it on fire. Or even stopping the parts to little bitty pieces.
As long as the bottle is kept in a cool dark place, out of direct sunlight and with a tight lid, the chemical ( Super-Clean ) should have a self life of two years. I have a gallon jug of Simple Green, that is three years old and still works like the day I opened it.
I don't know if you have the same rules as we do in Canada, but some tracks have you remove the gas tank and run with a out-board motor gas tank, and a out-board battery box.
What hasn't gone up lately, rent, hydro, oil, taxes, natural gas, pump gas, taxes, postage, food, phone rates, taxes, car & home insurance.
What needs to go up, my pay cheque, my wifes pay cheque.
My dad told me this. On the the trip back from a bombing mission to Berlin, this came through his headset, hey skipper, we still got one hung-up in the bomb-bay. Are you ( insert swear words here ) me my old man shot back. That's a positive skip, a 500 pounder and it's hot ! It fell out an hour or so later as they flew back to England with the bomb-bay doors open.
The local Faithway's church marquee had this posted for a few days
" Behold, I come quickly... " This to me sounds like a line from a very bad 70's porno film.
I'd pay off all my family's bills and make sure that my mom is well cared for. Then I'd get lost with my wife for a while until the heat dies down over the win. Get a new house with a large garage for four or more cars. Buy the cars I've wanted since I was a teenager, and give money to charities that my family supports. Oh , and buy more model kits and build a amazing model room with all the bells and whistles.
