  1. Have you considered using shrink tubing over the wire ? It comes in lots of colours and can be painted with acrylics.
  2. Is it wrong to shed a tear or two for these cars ?
  3. Yes they do, try Dave Van ( he's a member here ) he has decals for a number of cars. Also the resin conversion for the Dukes kit is at Resin Motor Replicas, this will change the dukes charger into a Daytona Charger. You can try Lobo Graphics for decals as well.
  4. These were designed as a " Track-day " car in europe. Small, fast and affordable fun, not a road car.
  5. Works great for me as well. Gives a smoother finish on second and third coats.
  6. Heard from Chris Mann the other day. He say's something new is coming soon. Can't wait for the announcement.
  7. Your doing a great job on this kit Bruce. That home made engine stand is a stroke of genius, the painting and detailing on the cosworth is accurate as well. I'll be watching this WIP closely. Now I regret selling all of my 1/12th kit collection last year.
  8. From the same folks who made farm tractors and farm equipment. You never see these around at all.
  9. I believe he sold all his masters and got out of the resin casting business a few years ago. Which is too bad, as he had some very nice kits. I picked up a few before he closed up shop.
  10. I have 5 on the go at this time. A 1970 Bud Moore Trans-Am mustang,MPC Mclaren Mk8d Can-am, NASCAR race truck in ReMax livery, Union/Heller 917k in Martini livery and a Union/Heller 917k in Gulf colours. I try to work on any two kits during my build time on my days off.
  11. -32 last night, -17 today. More of the same tomorrow. ?
  12. Nice start. I was in your shoes until last October and did almost no building for three years. Looking for more on this build.
  13. Same for the IMSA Capri's / Trans-Am Mustang and Trans-Am Camero kits. Different body styles for the Ford's. Different manufacturer for the Camero, but the same parts for the motors and chassis on all three. Keeping the bean counters happy by being lazy.
  14. I paint everything and dry fit as well.
  15. I love mustangs, but this one doesn't do a dam thing for me.
  16. I'm both a builder and collector. I also have great nostalgia for this hobby. Most of the kits I've collected are to replace the ones that got totally busted up when I was younger.
  17. I haven't placed an order with Strata Sports for a while. So when I ordered a trans-kit from them, it came with in 3 weeks of my ordering. No problems.
  18. First rule of over-coating decals with clear is alway's do a test of the clear on a piece decal to see how it reacts to the clear.
  19. If you go the Tamiya paint route, lay down a coat of Tamiya flat red followed by a coat of Tamiya Camel Yellow. This colour combo is very close to the Yellow colour Kodak uses to print it's film boxes.
  20. If you go the Tamiya route, lay down a base coat of Tamiya flat red, followed by a coat of Tamiya Camel Yellow. This colour combo comes very close to the Yellow Kodak uses to print it's film boxes.
  21. Liver, kidney, some kinds of fish. Any other organ meats as well.
  22. Try Perry's resin,I know that he had them at one time.
  23. So will a old 35 mm film canister.
  24. I'm building the same T/A Mustang. Here's the roll cage that I built using Evergreen rod and tube. I used a roll cage from a NASCAR kit as a basic guide and built my cage on a jig, where I could bend and glue the tubes.
