  1. That's one fugly looking car.
  2. For safety sake, stop using the drill and buy a second hand lathe. There's plenty on Ebay or Kijiji.
  3. Same here. It's been my go to primer for a long time.
  4. Your right. Camel Yellow is for the Lotus T99 F1 car. The orange you need for the McLaren Can-Am or F1 car would be TS-56. Use over white primer.
  5. Yes, but it only comes with decals to do the 4 car. luckily, Pato's Place has the decals to do the 3 car. I'll still get one.
  6. Life is hard. It's a lot harder if your stupid. John Wayne Flying is the easy part. It just gets a bit harder with a Messerschmidt or a FW-190 up your ass. My Dad.
  7. Try this website. It'll tell you everything you need to know. www.bmwblog.com/2009/04/13/hi...ors-explained/
  8. You can also try the wires made by Fernando Pinto. He sells on Ebay, and has a Facebook page. I've bought wheel sets from him for my Talbot-Lago GP car and my Shark-nose Ferrari.
  9. One mans Trash, is another mansTreasure.
  10. When my mother-in-law was still alive and pissing me off, she would go to Vegas once a year with her sister. Those two old bittys were the luckiest two on the planet. One time she won 5 grand on the second pull of the handle on a slot machine. Another time she won 25 grand playing Roulette, and on the same day she won 10 grand at the Blackjack table. She would go down with about 2 grand and planed to not bring anything back, but the two of them always came back with 10 to 20 grand between the both of them.
  11. My first question t you is, are you sanding the body before painting or primering. I've built two Round 2 kits with no problems what so ever. That said, matbe I'm just lucky.
  12. I agree. My weekly allowance was 3.00 ( I know, it's an odd amount but that was my old man ) A model kit was between 2 and 5 dollars ( in Canadian dollars ) I added to my weekly allowance by returning pop and beer bottles, and cutting lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter. Saturday afternoons I could be found at the local hobby shop. And yes, our world was perfect
  13. Very nice setup you got there.
  14. It depends on what I'm in the mood for. My two favorites are Popeye's Chicken and Fat Bastard Burrito's ( and yes, that's the real name of the place ). When I was in high school, there was a local place call Harry's Burgers in Scarborough. My standard order was their Steak on a kaiser ( medium rare ), onion rings and a large orange drink.
  15. I have no problem with the way you post your pictures. Keep up the good work.
  16. Too true. Hockey parents, Soccer parents, Go-Karting parents.
  17. My question is, where do you buy Embossing Powder ? I'd like to give it a try on my next build.
  18. Maybe this is what Todd is referring to as " Clear Coat ". That's what came to mind when I first saw his post.
  19. You make some very good points Howard. As you know, we have 5 hobby shops in our area of Durham Region and the eastern part of Toronto. I buy from all 5 as well as the internet shops, Ebay and yourself. What I can't get from the LHS I get from other sources. So, I think that I spread my cash around the hobby and support everyone, both brick and mortar stores and online ones.
  20. I agree 100%.The best 18 bucks I've spent on reference material in a long time.
  21. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should...
  22. From what I got from the artical, the decal sheet only does the 4 car. Maybe Patto will do a full sheet to do both. But it's a nice kit to add to my Corvette shelf.
  23. Try using plan white vinegar. This is used as a poor mans developer in black and white film development. It might work on the off set plates.
  24. I just hope that it has a full decal sheet with nothing missing. But that won't be the case, at least the aftermarket will hopefully do a fill in sheet.
