  1. Cool looking build so far. But what happened to the C7-R build ?
  2. I grew up in a military house-hold. We were taught sarcasm as a second language.
  3. This is so sad.
  4. Well, Excuse Meeeeeee .
  5. I put a drop of clear silicon caulking on the bottom of the wheels and let it sit overnight to dry. That way if I need to remove the model from the base, I can run an Olaf type knife blade under the wheel to cut the silicon.
  6. Some states need to have a Shoot on Sight law.
  7. This would drive me crazy. Please don't come to Canada...
  8. Very nice. My parents had a 68 Country Squire .
  9. Do the same as above. Drill 1/8 higher then the original spindle. Same for the rear axle mounting points.
  10. So have I. But I'm retiring in November 2018 so I will have time to build in the winter months and play with my 1:1 cars in the spring thru the fall months.
  11. But there's only two Oldsmobile's
  12. I tried to go on his site in September to get a second Charger trans-kit and it was no longer up.
  13. Ron's website is no longer up. I believe he's not in business anymore. I've seen this trans-kit come up on ebay a few times over the last year or so.
  14. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.
  15. I use a dehydrator to cure all the different paint types that I spray. After 24 hours in the heat, I clear coat my Tamiya paint with Tamiya clear. Never had any problems.
  16. There are 106 miles to Chicago, we have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing Sunglasses...
  17. How's about a Winnebago ? We got a herd of Winnebago's, we're giving them away...
  18. A 55 Olds Super 88 2 Door would be nice.
  19. My story. My first time ordering from him went well, got my order in three weeks, all my order was excellent quality. My second order with him was the order from hell. Multiple emails and phone calls, always the same excuse, waiting for resin, too many orders to fill and got behind, I'm very sick and will get your stuff done in two weeks. Yada, yada, yada. Well after almost two years of waiting and endless excuses, I wrote a very nasty sarcastic post on this site. Boy did I get his attention. The next day he called me and was pissed at me that I called him out in this site. But my post also got the attention of our Harry and he went to bat for me with him.A deal was struck, and I had my order within 30 days of Harry's intervention. Lesson learned, no more orders to RR, and I will always be indebted to Harry for his help. RIP my friend, you are missed.
  20. Prepare to be assimilated...
  21. Well, I got word today that my offer to purchase was accepted by the vendor. Just have to go and pay for her and start getting the paperwork together for Canada Customs, then figure out how to get her home.
  22. Thanks for the feed-back guy's. The car comes with the original steelies and hubcaps as well as the large center part of the grill. The wheels that are on it now are from a Buick Wildcat. I had the vendor email me a shot of the build plate, and the colours that are on it now are the factory colours it was built with. The colours are Bronze and Polar White, although it looks like cream to me. If I do get the car the first thing I'm going to look for are a set of rear wheel skirts.
  23. Along with my passion for building model cars, I'm also in to 1:1 cars. I'm big into Oldsmobile's and I've come across this old girl. Shes a 1955 Holiday 88 2 Dr, with a 324 cid with a 2 barrel carb and a 4 speed automatic. The cars from Arizona and is rust free and solid. The motor needs a bit of TLC, but it runs good and drives very well for a 63 year old car. The only thing that is off about this car is the colours. The two tone Brown and Cream needs to go. The next time I go to see the seller I'm going to take a photo of the build plate and go on line and decode the numbers and see if the colours that are on her are correct .If all goes to plan, I should have her in my garage by mid October and get some engine work done over the winter so she'll be ready for the cruise season next spring.
