Scribe-ing deeper panel lines
kitbash1 replied to Ahajmano's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I asked my Dentist one visit if I could buy some of his old dental scribes. He asked me why I wanted them and I told him. He gave me a handfull of used scribes. So just ask your dentist. His are 100 times better then the junk Harbor Freight have. -
Try Black India Ink. You can find it at art Supply stores. Mix it with a little water to get the right flow.

Todays cars have no soul. Cars ftom the 50's and 60's have soul. Back then you knew what was a Ford, Buick Chevy or Oldsmobile. They had curves and fins, big V8's and came in a multitude of colours and you could get them in two tone paint jobs as well. I submit for your approval, my 1955 Oldsmobile super 88 2Dr Coupe. Bettie ( I named her after Bettie Page ).

The wings on the real cars are painted, bare aluminum or heavily decaled. Myself, I'd strip it and paint it aluminum or Bare Metal Foil it. -

Nail Polish is a Laquer not an Enamel based product. You can brush it on small areas but not larger areas.

Check out Mikes Decals www.mikesdecals.com I think he'd be your best place to look.

Out standing work. Did you use the Nascar Old's kit as a starting point for this ? -
Fernando Pinto makes and sells wire wheel sets. He's on Facebook. Not cheap, but very accurate.

best way to wash before build
kitbash1 replied to bubbaman's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Just use the dish soap ( Dawn / Sunlight / Palmolive ) and an old tooth brush. This will clean the parts trees well. and rinse in warm water and air dry on a towel. -
Out standing work Ismael. I really like the weathered look to the car.
