  1. Did a bit today,,,got the air cleaner in and intake pipes to turbo ,terminated the wire harnesses and air lines, attached the air dryer and fabbed up some sort of expansion tank and washer bottle ,, if I don't have to work tomorrow I plan to get a lot more done..............yeah right ,,,,lol ! The Mack emblems on the doors will get hit with the chrome pen when it's all together
  2. "Because I made the front plow bumper mount with lift arm, the kit's hood hinges, which are a bit oversized and have a very low pivot point, wouldn't let the hood tip very far before the front of the hood hits the front bumper. I will need to make hood hinges that are similar to the real truck, so the hood pivots higher," Truck manufacturers used to make a "snow plow hood" which tilted but also had "butterfly" doors so fluids could be checked ,,IH comes to mind . My wrecker build is going to have the same problem because of the front bumper winch Brian
  3. Hey ,if anyone has an Auslowe WM41 metal Mack bulldog hood ornament ,,I'm looking for one
  4. Brian, yes ,,shot with clear ,,anything I put decals on gets clear ,I use automotive urethane clear 4 parts clear to 1 part activator(hardener)
  5. ..........................pretty soon you'll just need a 3D print BBQ grill and a couple lawn chairs! looks great!
  6. ..............so not much done the first part of the week with working a few hours each day and freezing my balls off and 2 Dr appointments for the wife and me thrown in ,,,,but today,,,today the cab became one with the chassis The bed and boom are just sitting there not nailed yet. I got these Auslowe Mack tanks that look pretty close size wise ,,,that will be next and work out the stack on the pass side ......and I'll pull the hood pins and pull that off and do the wiring/air lines and figure out an under hood air cleaner
  7. .........nice progress on the cab Brian! ,,,,I usually measure once and cut twice myself 😛

  13. I know BMF had a lot of bad batches that got out because of that issue,,I was planning on masking it off and using Revell chrome spray ,,,but because the hood may be handled a bit I decided to go with the foil,,I have a Mack bulldog to go on it but that will be last ,,,I'd like to find a cast pewter one instead of the resin one I have ,,,pretty fragile
  14. A little more progress........... shot the cab / hood / body with clear yesterday ,,did a little more detail on the engine,,today I did Bare Metal on the hood and blacked out the grill
