  1. I was at the LHS today, picked up the Oct MCM, and suplies for jackstands...I got 4 down on the bench, 3 need some filing, and 2 need guitar string pins bent...I'll take pics tomorrow... EDIT: Here's a picture of the 4 unpainted stands, which took me about an hour all together to get to here:
  2. Wow, way cool...gotta get PS at some point and give it a whirl! Thanks for the tutorial!
  3. Next trip to the LHS will be for supplies, and I will show you how they turned out!! Thanks!! Oh, and Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year...travel safe!!
  4. Awesome!! Thanks for sharing that...I got me a little project now!!
  5. Wowzers!! That looks fabulous Dr.C!! Just amazing!! The nests are great!! Gotta ask where you got (or how you made) the jack stands! I need some for my garage dio. Merry Christmas!
  6. Something to ponder, Cranky...bird nests...swallows, or whatever...they'd get in and nest about anywhere in those metal roof beams. Love where you are going with this...keep going, and keep the pictures coming! Wow! As for weather...It snowed today, I used my snowblower after dinner...temps were around -10 degrees Celsius (about 12F), wind chills around -20C (around 0 F). (It hasn't even gotten cold here yet...That will feel like shirt-sleeve weather in late January!) I love to paint in winter...no humidity!! Heat the spray can with warm water, head outside, spray, leave the model to dry in the cold garage overnight, then being it inside in the morning. Sometimes I just bring it into the basement to dry.
  7. That's great, thanks!
  8. $3 each...great price point for sure!! They are "cheaper by the dozen"...or at least by the tens!! Will have to see how much the shipping is to Canada...
  9. I'd go for an extension. My Trans-Am Stang chassis is nearly done, and still need to get primer, paint and decals on the body. I haven't touched my SVO yet...so I'll stick to the one build for now, though Jan 1 could be tight. If the majority still want Jan 1, then I'm okay with that. I've blown deadlines before!!
  10. Both are very nice! The errors show up when you put the pictures on line!!

    VW Lug Bug

    That's cool! Love it!!
  12. Peter, I really am appreciative of your builds, the artistic ability, and design sense you have, and the fact you were willing to share by providing copies of the body!! I am really saddened that you had problems getting paid by everyone, but it seems the post was enough to get most up to the plate. I like your style, and the fact you are trusting of the people who share a wonderful hobby. Life happens, and good intentions sometimes do get pushed aside by reality. Hopefully the last one will surface, and settle up. I am planning on working on mine in the new year...I have a couple of possible directions under consideration, so we'll see what strikes when the time comes!! I'm planning on extending a chassis to fit under the body, and have three possible, a NASCAR and Viper from AMT and a '55 Chev convertible from Monogram.
  13. Thanks, Virgil! I love the change of pace...slow progress, and an opportunity to keep the old eyes peeled for neat stuff to add. It is a great backdrop for taking pictures, too!
  14. Looks great so far!
  15. Very cool. Lookin' forward to seeing it in paint!
  16. A day late, and a dollar short...Happy Birthday, anyways, Ed!! Wishing you many, many more!
  17. Looks great so far! The dash looks great. Love how you did the gauges, and the exhaust.
  18. A nice freshening of the styling. I like the changes. Thanks for sharing!
  19. What can I add...Love the colours used, and the metallic in the Hemi O is perfect for the model! Beautiful shine, too!!
  20. Fantastic start. You are putting together a "fabulous fantom" GT3 starting grid!!
  21. Just a thought, but could the mould be cut into 3 parts, so you could have a removeable centre section to mould either the 4 door, or 2 door versions, as you need? If not, I'd be interested in a 2 door to accompany the 4 door version I have. I'm still trying the figure out how I want to build the 4 door...a few ideas kicking around still. How about a wagon, or delivery version? Would make an interesting "Shooting Brake"! Food for thought!
  22. Looks good, Brian. I'll be following along!
  23. Nice work! I, too, look forward to more of your work! Regarding photos - A free hosting site, like photobucket, is one way of storing pictures, and you use the coding to post the picture full size (if it is oversize, it resizes it to the frame in the thread). I think there is an instruction thread on photos under General perhaps, or the 'new to the forum' section.
  24. I'd buy one, or probably two.
