  1. Very nice! Love it!
  2. I like where you are taking this one! Awesome! I am getting through a couple of builds, and still mulling ideas for the body I got from you. I have three potential ideas, but one is in the lead...
  3. Today's CleanQuote "There is a very fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness.'"
  4. I've been watching you guys get these done, and I say Bravo! Wonderful job! This piqued my interest, but decided that I had too much on the go to give it a good go - besides, I didn't have a kit at hand. I've added it to my "one day" list of cool builds that are in my head!! So, I vote for all three of you!!
  5. Initial issues of the kit said 1/25 on the box and their website, which was supposed to be corrected to 1/48 (shows 1/48 on the instruction sheet), as per an email exchange I had when I bought the kit in Sept. 09, with Ernie Petit of Lindberg-they had 1/25th at the time on their website, which now shows 1/48. It is a reissue of the Hawk kit. San Fran still uses them, so their transit website should be able to provide some reference photos.
  6. Great execution! The fire is a great touch!
  7. I'd tentatively jump in with the one truck kit I've got...The Kenworth Canepa kit, and #4 Kodak NASCAR trailer...and the NASCAR Lumina to go with it...long time on the back burner! I'd probably look at going box stock, but we'll see. I'd need time to find a place for such a big set up...I love that car hauler! Man, that is a great way to display your cars!
  8. ...and here we are!! We got moved!! Thanks to whoever moved us over!
  9. Nice, Jeff! I remembered to bring the camera to the bench today. Here's where I am at with the Trans Am Mustang (I think I like Jeff's better!) Just out of curiosity...why is this community build, not in the community build forum?? Took me a bit to find it!
  10. That is a great looking Viper race car, Peter!
  11. Romell, man that is coming along nice! Loving this build!
  12. Another nice picture for the office...Thanks, Jerry! Great colour on that big old Ford!
  13. Sorry to hear about your computer crashing, Jim. Always inconvenient when that happens. I hope you can get back all you lost. I know you've used some of my pictures in my Photobucket album on your site, which I am glad for!
  14. I flat out love this car...Vision to reality. Well done!
  15. Man, that is some nice work! Awesome!
  16. Nice build! I like it a lot. Classic colour combination, too. I built the Hasegawa version the Revell released, but want to build this new version as it has better details, like the correct wheels for a Samba (Hasegawa/Revell has 15 inch slotted Beetle wheels, not 14 inch Type 2 wheels).
  17. I think you can never really have too many projects, and best get to it when inspired to do something! I usually have around 7-10 projects around at any one time. Keep the creativity flowing! Looks like it should be another stunner from you, Peter!
  18. 2000 Ford Taurus wagon is my daily driver... 2007 Focus is my wife's daily driver... 1967 Beetle is my project car...had it 10 years now...
  19. I'd be careful with the Tremclad primer, and test it on a sprue tree first. I have used the grey and white Krylon primers with good results. With the first coat on a body, go with very light coverage to minimize any chance of crazing of the plastic.
  20. Thanks for doing this Jerry! Just going to tack it up on the bulletin board! Love them Model Ts! ha!
  21. My prayers to the family. Any loss of life (especially if it is preventable) like that is very saddening. RIP.
  22. Cool. Happy building! I've been wanting to get the Tamiya kit myself, and haven't yet. They put out a nice Karmann Ghia as well.
  23. Interesting wagon...personally don't care for the rear wheel well styling, but that's just me! Chassis, motor and all is very well done. Nice work!
