  1. Welcome, Lani! Very nice build! Nice to see a young person interested in their father and grandfather's hobby.
  2. 6 cans of Krylon spray paint on sale at $4 each!
  3. As was mentioned, Mercury has been gone from Canada for several years now. At first, Grand Marquis and Cougar were still sold alongside the Fords, and all the dealers became Ford Lincoln dealers. Being a car guy, it was weird to see a new Mercury that wasn't sold here when someone from the US was driving around, usually a Mercury SUV, or Sable. Ford has played smart, and made a sound decision. Too bad for the Mercury buffs. I think that historically there are somewhere near 2000 car manufacturer names that have gone by the wayside, and Mercury is just the latest.
  4. Welcome aboard! Good luck finding what you need. That can be half the fun!
  5. Ford guy, and a Canadian...I like ya already!! Welcome, Jessie, and I like your builds!!

    GTO

Very nice build. I like the details, and execution. Beauty!!

    2007 GT500

Background is in focus, so you are too close to the subject, in my opinion. Looks like a nice enough build.
  8. I took a look at all the red plastic in my two builds, and put them aside again!! I think I'll start with the race car...or maybe the SVO...
  9. I really like where you are taking this one!
  10. Sounds good, Peter. Sounds like it a fun project, and the results will be awesome, given the caliber of experience here.
  11. I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like the Mazda 3 styling...I really don't like the 'Creepy Grin". Seems Peugeot has upped the ante with the 308 GTi...
  12. Nice build, Nick!
  13. Jim - Thanks - The '11 TA on the paint page is mine. (It is correctly attributed, too!)
  14. The stools look great!!
  15. That is very nicely done!
  16. I am flattered, too that you used pictures of some of my builds! Cool!!

    blue bimmer

    Very nice! Love the colour!
  18. So, I finished the wheels, fit a set of Revell Viper brakes. I put the rear fender wheels back in with a spacer, filled the '59 spare well, and added the raised stampings, and replaced the grille. To do that, I cut out the kit grille with the Dremel, and added a Revell '69 Baldwin Camaro grille that I thinned out from the back, and fit it to the opening on the '60. I like it, and since it isn't seen in the artwork, I wanted to do something that was unique, and was also from GM or Chevrolet. Enjoy! '69 Camaro grille in place. Viper brakes fitted Fenderwells back in Floor stampings simulated where '59 spare tire well was cut out
  19. Ooop...sorry I missed that part!! Hopefully the Hobby Centre can help you get some. It shouldn't get complicated, but if it does, let me know, and I'll take a trip in and see what they have. If I need to buy it and you pay me back, I'm willing, but they should be able to help you.
  20. Very nice build! I really like the car, too!! Beautiful.
  21. http://www.alphaabrasives.com/contact-alpha-precision-abrasives.php It says on the contact page they ship internationally. The hobby shop I go to is in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It's called "The Hobby Centre". They have a website, www.hobcen.com and I know they do sell on eBay, so they do ship. Send them an email and tell 'em Tony directed you. (Might not help!) These have been selling well, so their stock may be limited.
  22. My builds, but not for this build...just thought I'd share my T-Bird Pro-Street and Mark VII LSC custom. The T-Bird is on the Mark VII chassis, and vis versa. I built the Mark VII to replicate a (I thik) Brad Leisure drawing, and then used the left over T-Bird body & Lincoln Pro Street chassis. Pictures were just quickly done to share here on a whim!
  23. My local LHS has those now, and I haven't bought any to try. I hear good things about them. Other than directly, I can't help otherwise.
