  1. Man, so cool that you can see the bicycle fenders off the firewall! Looking good.
  2. Change in humidity is the enemy of precision (my freaking deadbolt lock outside).
  3. Shoot, I already read the whole thread. I've been following when it started, completely missed that.
  4. Another Ford guy, nice! (Take a glance at my user name)
  5. I did some sink marks on my 63 galaxie. Have had it sitting for about a week and a half. It's nice and solid now. Used 3m spot putty (some wet sanding after fully cured removed that red in the sanding marks).
  6. I just got some of this stuff. Here are 2 coats on a 65 falcon rear bumper. Just one question, has anyone tryed this in an airbrush?
  7. I think he likes all the shades of green.
  8. Yeah, I don't think im gonna restore it, way to much for what its worth. Now, I could potentially kitbash the body and interior with the amt 62 thunderbird.
  9. Dove into the deep end on this one, shortened the 66 fairlane chassis to fit in my 66 falcon. I also had to scribe the original engine bay out to put the massaged fairlane one in. I used the fairlane chassis because the 66 falcon is basically a shortened fairlane, heck, on the 2 door posts they share the same door. This kit is going to be built to replicate my father's first car. I need to print some magnum 500's so I can get it in the moch-up stage.
  10. Man, I don't know what it is with the rubber band tires (what I call them) these days. I just like good ole big meats. Like this...
  11. Pretty cool, that grille looks to be from a 60 ford starliner.
  12. Yeah, printing plates turns out pretty well with the ACME plate maker. Here are some I made for my 63 galaxie.
  13. Wow! That's some impressive engine detailing!
  14. If you know of someone who has a resin printer there are some free distributor files on cults 3d. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/free-file-friday-distributors-and-plug-boots
  15. Nice work, how did you modify the interior from the convertible one?
  16. Got my first promo in the most unexpected place ever, the Iowa State Fair. A pretty beat up 63 thunderbird, definitely some kids toy (adds character they tell me). The people had it listed for $40, no way is it worth that in this state. Told them they had it marked as a 65 and it was a 63, mentioned the broken a pillars, and the worn off chrome. All that got me this beaut for $20, not bad.
  17. At least your not in a tent like I would be.
  18. I have shared this before but the reason I am so into falcons is that my dad's first car was a 66 falcon. The coolest part is he has never gotten rid of it. He swaped the 6 motor for a hopped up 289 windsor and painted the car 96 viper red. I also have a annual 66 falcon to replicate it. I dont concider my self an expert but I know quite a bit about the 3rd gen falcons.
  19. Yeah... that's AI generated. But I can't argue that its cute.
  20. Im a bit of a ford falcon fanatic (American cars, those aussie ones still confuse me) and did some online searching on the 70 and 1/2 falcon. For those of you who are not familiar with some of Ford's weird decision making, the 70 and ½ falcon was based on the base model of the 70 torino. Basically bringing it from a compact car to a mid-sized one. This conversion was basically a rebadge of the base torino, literally nothing else changed. This brought some upsides with it, previously the biggest engine you could get in a falcon was the 302 windsor with the base being the 200 in-line 6. Now, you could get the whole engine lineup that was available in the torino. Those options included the 250 6, the 302 w, the 351 w, the 351 c, the 429, and finally the 429 cobra jet. This means you could get a 429 powered falcon in 1970. Being a base model car with no creature features and a big block high-po motor, I don't think you could get more sleeper than that.
