  1. Next update! I got quite a few things done this week. Sence this car is a mild custom I had to shave all the emblems, the Belair emblems on the side, the chevy emblems on the hood and trunk, and the top of the hood are now all flat. After shaving everything, I primered the car, sanded again, then put the final layer of primer on. I also got the engine completed, I went with the fuel injection and had to shortened the stacks to fit under the hood. Also got the battery wired up. The firewall had a nasty gap on it so I had to fill that in with 3m spot putty, probably needs another round of filling and sanding. The chassis is also in primer, couple stars from the molded in exhaust but you can barely tell. Also had to add a transmission brace because there oddly wasnt one. Lastly, I put some testors flat steel on the wheels to replicate the magnesium wheels. Thanks for looking! Elliot
  2. Fronts are kit tires and rears are amt parts pack M&H Racemasters.
  3. Thanks, I usually go to the heartland nationals every year, couldn't go this year because I moved across town.
  4. I just started this car this week after playing around with wheels and tires. The wheels are from revells 64 Thunderbolt and I think they look really tough on this car with the white wall pie crust slicks. Im also going to go with a gold paint job with white accents. Oh and its got to have a tuck n roll interior. My inspiration was this car that I saw at the 2024 goodguys heartland nationals, I really like the attitude and stance of this car. Here's the moch-up of the car, had to hog out the rear slicks to fit the wheels, quick work with a dremmel. This kit also has a molded in exhaust, I forgot to take a before picture. Here's the finished result. Thanks for looking Elliot
  5. Yeah I thought that would happen. I really like the way our fellow member SpeedShift did his interior on his 58 chevy.
  6. Yeah I've seen the foam stuff but to me it leaves a little to be desired. That's why I am looking to the half round styrene.
  7. Would have been cheaper to make a "No parking any time"
  8. I was wondering what was the best way to do tuck and roll. I've heard evergreen half round works well but what size do I need for the smaller pleats they would use on seats? 1 mm, 2mm, I have no clue? Any advice you may have would be helpful and appreciated. Here's the car im going to do it on. Thanks Elliot
  9. Here's mine, going for a mild 60s custom. Gonna be gold with white accents. And of course its gonna have a tuck and roll interior. The wheels are from the revell 64 Thunderbolt and the rear tires are amt parts pack m&h racemasters. It was inspired by this car I saw at a goodguys show.
  10. Got a new bike yesterday, a cannondale quick cx 3. This is the first bike ive ever had that had hydraulic brakes, I had no idea they made those for bikes. Rides pretty nice, I wanted something I could ride on road and off, and this does just that perfectly.
  11. Those bubbles are just rust bubbles right? If so nice job replicating that . Anyway, nice job!
  12. Looking good, curious to see how the tires come out.
  13. I also just realized that I forgot to add a ignition coil. I'll have to fab one up after work.
  14. Thanks, I'll have to check them out, the blue shure looks good. Thank you both.
  15. Thank you much! It was my first time using these paints and it definitely won't be my last! Thanks.
  16. Appreciate it, the tripples definitely give it that vintage vibe I was going for. A 750 double pumper would not look right on this.
  17. Ran over my water bottle on my bike and put a pin sized whole in it. Maybe I can melt it back together?
  18. Thank you, I am really happy with my color choice and im glad others like it to.
  19. Thank you, that definitely took a lot of fiddling. The engine is actually moved forward and up, I think it looks a little better. Thanks! Thanks, the kit tires look good, especially wrapped in pie crust slicks!
  20. Much appreciated, I was in-between colors for a while, I think I made the right choice.
  21. Thanks man! The kit is the newest release of the revell 32 tudor. The tires are actually amt parts pack slicks on back and parts box bias plys on the front.
  22. This little number finally made it across the finish line, late for the 32 sedan build off it was started for, but worth the wait. She's been dropped at both ends with a scale 3-inch chop giving her just the right stance. Out back, the tail’s been bobbed and rolled for that smooth transition from body to frame. Under the hood, it’s a blend of the old and the bold. Being a die-hard fan of the Ford Windsor camp, I got creative — grafting a flathead Ford intake onto the windsor to squeeze in a tri-carb setup. She’s wired to my standards with spark plugs, plumbed with fuel lines, and fitted with a beehive oil filter for that period-perfect touch. The paint? Two coats of TS-60 Pearl Green lay down the attitude, followed by three coats of Tamiya gloss clear, hand-polished to a glassy shine. Thanks for looking and comments are much appreciate! Elliot
  23. Got mine done, late, but done. The car is lowered front and back, chopped a scale 3 inches, and bobbed and rolled in the rear. I have a love for the Ford windsor platform so I molded the SBF intake with the flathead to get the tri carb. I also wired the engine, the fuel lines, and the bee hive oil filter. The car is also painted in two coats of ts-60 pearl green and 3 coats of tamiya gloss clear and polished. Thanks for looking Elliot Hamm
