Wow if you told me this was a glue bomb, I wouldn't believe you. Great job ?.

Got to working on mine this week. I wanted a tri carb setup on a SBF. Something like this. So I combined the flathead intake and the sbf intake to get this. For the wheels and tires I wanted a vintage look with halibrands. So i decided on the kit halibrands, pie crust slicks, and bias plie tires. So this is what I came up with. Oh and this is my first attempt at chopping a car, this is how it's going. Thanks for looking. Elliot

Looks amazing, I'll definitely be following! This car reminds me of a car I have from my grandfather, he built this sometime in the 70s.

This is how I sand my tires to make them look used...

Cool. I just put mine on a socket that's the right size then hold up a pice of sand paper to it. I start with something coarse like 600 grit then work my way up to 1000. -
Wow that engine is a looker! Great job, what did you use for the an fittings?

I just got this one rapped up this afternoon. I'm pretty proud of it, it was my first time ever polishing a paint job and I think it's not half bad. This is the re-issued MPC grumpy's vega. Upgraded with more accurate details, including the intake which came from the parts box. I adjusted the headers to make them correct for a SBC and put bigger collectors on them. The license plate was made with a pice of scrap plastic and a printed plate. I tried a new technique with the wheels where I put some matte clear on and some black-wash. I really like the effect. Here's the link to the WIP thread. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/191590-more-accurate-mpc-72-grumpys-vega/ Thanks for looking, and as always, comments are much appreciated. Elliot

Just saw a TANK on the highway. It was also on the back of a commercial truck and flatbed, nothin' military. Not somethin' you see everyday -

"The 777" Tasca Ford '63 lightweight Galaxie

As you can tell by my name, I'm 100% a Ford guy, and a Ford race guy at that. Ford was not always focused with racing, but when they tried, they won. Like the 427 sohc that got banned from nascar for being TO good. I've been fascinated with Ford racing history since pretty much forever. Oh and that's why you will always find me saying, put a Ford in a Ford. And maybe just maybe a Ford in a Chevy.? -
