  1. Wow if you told me this was a glue bomb, I wouldn't believe you. Great job ?.
  2. Got to working on mine this week. I wanted a tri carb setup on a SBF. Something like this. So I combined the flathead intake and the sbf intake to get this. For the wheels and tires I wanted a vintage look with halibrands. So i decided on the kit halibrands, pie crust slicks, and bias plie tires. So this is what I came up with. Oh and this is my first attempt at chopping a car, this is how it's going. Thanks for looking. Elliot
  3. Looks amazing, I'll definitely be following! This car reminds me of a car I have from my grandfather, he built this sometime in the 70s.
  4. Cool. I just put mine on a socket that's the right size then hold up a pice of sand paper to it. I start with something coarse like 600 grit then work my way up to 1000.
  5. Wow that engine is a looker! Great job, what did you use for the an fittings?
  6. I always love foreign american cars. And this one is cool, nice job!
  7. Awesome job on this car, I love it!
  8. I just got this one rapped up this afternoon. I'm pretty proud of it, it was my first time ever polishing a paint job and I think it's not half bad. This is the re-issued MPC grumpy's vega. Upgraded with more accurate details, including the intake which came from the parts box. I adjusted the headers to make them correct for a SBC and put bigger collectors on them. The license plate was made with a pice of scrap plastic and a printed plate. I tried a new technique with the wheels where I put some matte clear on and some black-wash. I really like the effect. Here's the link to the WIP thread. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/191590-more-accurate-mpc-72-grumpys-vega/ Thanks for looking, and as always, comments are much appreciated. Elliot
  9. I'm calling this one completed! I will post more pictures in under glass.
  10. Man that sounds awful ?. I have definitely had experiences like that but nothing as bad as that.?
  11. Saw this absolutely SICK VW bug. I love the paint, wheels, and especially the tail pipe.
  12. Just saw a TANK on the highway. It was also on the back of a commercial truck and flatbed, nothin' military. Not somethin' you see everyday
  13. What does it mean exactly by 7in1, more parts? Usually it's 3in1. There must be a lot of custom parts in it.
  14. Kind of like the Galloping Gooses of the Rio Grande Southern.
  15. FINALLY!! Amazing looking paint on that bronco, it's a cool build.
  16. I saw that picture a couple weeks back and am inspired by the exact same car. My goal is the same aditude.
  17. Absolutely amazing as always Bob! I always enjoy watching your WIP's, they turn out amazing every time. This one is no exception ?. Great choice on the intake and wheels, definitely much needed touches on this car.
  18. Mine's here now! Now to take a looksee.
  19. As you can tell by my name, I'm 100% a Ford guy, and a Ford race guy at that. Ford was not always focused with racing, but when they tried, they won. Like the 427 sohc that got banned from nascar for being TO good. I've been fascinated with Ford racing history since pretty much forever. Oh and that's why you will always find me saying, put a Ford in a Ford. And maybe just maybe a Ford in a Chevy.?
  20. Not only that but it's a camper special. The wheel base is different and the wheel well is taller.
  21. Thanks for the advice. I just bought some novus polishes because of other information I have heard about it and your confirmation.
  22. I was wondering what I need to polish my clear coats? What polish, grit sand paper, and towels/ rags do I need? Oh and what do I need to know about the process to get my car look like this? (picture of Lovefordgalaxie's 62 Buick Electra) Like always I appreciate comments and help. Elliot
