Thanks, I'll have to check them out, the blue shure looks good. Thank you both.

Thank you much! It was my first time using these paints and it definitely won't be my last! Thanks.

Appreciate it, the tripples definitely give it that vintage vibe I was going for. A 750 double pumper would not look right on this.

Ran over my water bottle on my bike and put a pin sized whole in it. Maybe I can melt it back together?

Thank you, I am really happy with my color choice and im glad others like it to.

Thank you, that definitely took a lot of fiddling. The engine is actually moved forward and up, I think it looks a little better. Thanks! Thanks, the kit tires look good, especially wrapped in pie crust slicks!

Much appreciated, I was in-between colors for a while, I think I made the right choice.

Thanks man! The kit is the newest release of the revell 32 tudor. The tires are actually amt parts pack slicks on back and parts box bias plys on the front.

This little number finally made it across the finish line, late for the 32 sedan build off it was started for, but worth the wait. She's been dropped at both ends with a scale 3-inch chop giving her just the right stance. Out back, the tail’s been bobbed and rolled for that smooth transition from body to frame. Under the hood, it’s a blend of the old and the bold. Being a die-hard fan of the Ford Windsor camp, I got creative — grafting a flathead Ford intake onto the windsor to squeeze in a tri-carb setup. She’s wired to my standards with spark plugs, plumbed with fuel lines, and fitted with a beehive oil filter for that period-perfect touch. The paint? Two coats of TS-60 Pearl Green lay down the attitude, followed by three coats of Tamiya gloss clear, hand-polished to a glassy shine. Thanks for looking and comments are much appreciate! Elliot

The Revell '32 Ford Tudor Sedan build-off SHOWCASE thread
FoMoCo66 replied to mrm's topic in Model Cars
Got mine done, late, but done. The car is lowered front and back, chopped a scale 3 inches, and bobbed and rolled in the rear. I have a love for the Ford windsor platform so I molded the SBF intake with the flathead to get the tri carb. I also wired the engine, the fuel lines, and the bee hive oil filter. The car is also painted in two coats of ts-60 pearl green and 3 coats of tamiya gloss clear and polished. Thanks for looking Elliot Hamm -
Just got the 32 wrapped up, really happy with it. More pictures in under glass and the group build completion page.

Last update before its done! Got the frame assembled and painted in ts-60 and a coat of tamiya clear. The body is also painted with ts-60 and 3 coats of tamiya clear. I also got the engine all wrapped up with plug wires, paint, and assembly. Look forward for the finished model!

Amazing work on that rear end!

Thanks! In retrospect straight up styrene would work way better but I have a FDM 3d printer and decided to give it a shot. It's pretty hard to bend without heat and has little lines in it, but it was an experiment.

Nice work! Just thought that I would post some of my progress. Made some custom headers from paint brush ferrules and PLA filliment. I also got the intake finished up, distributor wired, and brackets made for the compressor and alternator. Really like the way it is coming along. (Air cleaners moched-up, I know there not straight) I also decided on tamiya ts-60 and its coming in the mail from Hobby Nut Models (along with tamiya gloss clear). This is my first time using tamiya spray and I've heard nothing but good (nock on wood). Thanks for looking! Elliot

She wishes, everyone on this forum has already spent that money on models. We can't escape from their grasp. -
Scratch built some lake style headers from pla filliment and the ferrule of a paint brush for the SBF in my 32 sedan. Also made a distributor from sprue sence the kit one was a little to small for my method of wiring. The engine is looking pretty killer with the headers and the intake. I don't think I've ever seen a SBF look like this and its awesome!

You think that's bad, try 60s and 70s mpc kits. The 67 corvette has atrocious fitment but a little work and they come out just fine.
-
You could make your intake held in with a pin or a magnet so you could run both versions.

Looking good, can't go wrong with a box stock every once and a while to clear your mind.
