It's like a cow, outstanding in its own feild. Great job.

I wired my first engine with actuall wire yesterday. It was the S&M 71 cuda hemi. The daunting thing was that the car has 2 distributors, but that was no problem since I just took it 1 distributor at a time. I also did fuel lines and carb linkage. It really wasn't that bad and I am really happy with the results! Yes the real car looks like a hairball with that tangle of wires to.

This looks great I love long nose mustang (or just long nose fords in general.

I got some 30 awg wire (seamed to be the right gauge) off of Amazon. It was super cheap for a lot and in 5 different colors. This wire will be used for my first time doing wires on engines.

I know, I always appreciate knowledge from people who know a lot about that topic (and any other knowledge). I was just kidding around with I just get that feeling sometimes when I'm working. Edit: let's get back to the original topic. Can't wait to see more of this build.

Now it's got to be just right and accurate ?.

I like this soap box fords are cool and so are drag cars so...

? no words. Your engine detailing skills are top notch. I swear you could put a little fule in it and... ROAR. I also like you didn't stereotypically go with a hemi and went for a single carb setup. Good work.

Ah well don't use the method I mentioned if you want to save them.

I used micro set or sol (can't remember) on my johan 71 cuda glue bomb. You put it on top of the decal, let it set, dry it off, put masking tape or scotch tape over the decals and peal (it should come off).

Cool this will be cool. So I just watched the cupple episodes on this car. It started out in hot rod garage where they restored this cars frame and drive train. The body was trash and that's where roadkill got involved. They put a solid body on this car and went racing! And they named it the 56 chevy Feild car. This cars got a lot of patina on it. And I would really only say surface rust, also a lot of different coats of paint. This car would really test your patina skills. I also like how this car has skinny cregars on bias plys. Here's my favorite shot of the car.

Yeah me to, Sorta. I always used to wire my engines with sewing string, then I realized that actual wire is much better. Never have gotten to do that yet though. I will experiment with that on my next build.

Looks spot on man. How did you make the grooves in the tires. -
I like the 3 carbs. Everyone knows multiple carbs screams hot rod!
-
Yeah tell me about it.

I love flip front drag cars. This will be entertaining. Looks good.

Good story telling. This will be cool. I actually like the front of the 64 better and the back of the 63 better, so this will be nice.

Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Hey, I had the same idea for a model. This looks great. I was inspired by this car I s saw at the goodguys heartland nationals. Still haven't actually started on it though (you know how it goes). -
Probably the guy who designed the car had preferences on what he thinks it should look like.
-
You gonna do blinkers?? This looks awesome.
-
This is cool. I've seen this done once but not as much attention to detail with the body lines. Looking forward for more updates ?.

Makes sense when I went to our local cars and coffee there were a bunch of cobbled up old miatas that looked less than ok. They all had poorly installed wide bodys. The thing is there were only a handful of cool classics cars. I also had to Teach some young guy what a manual fule and water pump were?.
