  1. I have the whole set of these which I've never built and I've not seen anyone else build either. Looking forward to see yours along.
  2. Thanks Stuart, it does make a big difference.
  3. Breath Away From Heaven is from George Harrison’s Cloud 9 LP
  4. The top one is how the brewery down the block serves a flight. the bottom one is for tying up Christmas trees…think about it.
  5. Interests on bonds are usually paid out twice a year.
  6. David, nice choice. I have one f these stashed away for someday. I'll be watching yours for now.
  7. Thanks Jim. I guess it's the struggle we need to deal with when we color outside the lines.
  8. And wifey let's you get away with that....I'm surprised.? Thanks Rich, this grill is so much better. Thanks Carl, we are making progress. Thanks, much appreciated. I ordered the Demon grill at the same time and yesterday I picked up the MPC kit from HL as they had a sale. Now if I could just find the time.?
  9. For reference here's Silver Blue
  10. Well said Mike. The consistency of the mag has gotten better in recent times which is good enough for me. I subscribe to Hot Rod and I’ve been a subscriber to Hemings Classic Car and Muscle Machines since their inception. Hemings is doing away with both magazines and combining them in Hemings Motor News. The projection is we’ll see 12 pages of content. Other mags I’ve subscribed to have disappeared as well in recent years so we need to be thankful for what we get.
  11. Infinity and beyond
  12. Two months ago the supermarket I go to got a new manager and as they always do he decided he needed to rearrange the store. So for the past 8 weeks the store has been a mess and you can’t find anything. Last week I spent 20 minutes looking for refrigerated pie crust. No one who worked there could find them. This week they have now moved the soda for the third time. Other then the produce they have move just about everything else. In the 30 plus years I’ve been going here this is the worst arrangement I think it’s ever been. There is no logic to some of it. Meat department used to be beef, pork, chicken, turkey and then organic. Now it’s chicken, beef, turkey, pork, and then beef again. Organic is mixed in with everything. For better or for worse I hope this guy is there for a while because who knows what the next person will do.
  13. Office of the principal is one place Slusher always tried to avoid
  14. Sneezes are a great way to spread germs if you want to get everyone sick.
  15. Corvette has been a weird build as I still seem to be making my way down towards the chassis. This time around I'm working on the firewall. This firewall is from the MPC 1957 Corvette but we will beat it into submission. For starters it will need a bunch of trimming and some added panels. Fits well on the top side but the bottom leaves an ugly gap. Added a "tranny tunnel" to the bottom of the firewall to close up the cavern. Getting closer. Next step is to shoehorn the big block into this tiny engine compartment. Stay tuned...
  16. Breakfast for the Scarecrow and they don't make a sound going down.
  17. Duster has been making some backwards progress. It's my own stupid fault. Started mocking up the slant six into the chassis and found the tail shaft binding on something. Well, I guess it's the first time I really looked at the tranny and realized it was a manual. The Duster that wouldn't die had a slush box. So did some digging through the parts bin an found a close semblance of a proper transmission. That would be the one in the center.... It funny, the last slant six I took from a Lindberg kit had an automatic, guess they came in two flavors. Little bit of plastic surgery and we are now back on tract. Grill from Few Sprues Loose came during the week and it's light years above the resin one. It feels rather brittle so care must be exercised when removing the supports. It fits fairly well but the body needs a bit of a trim as shown so the grill recesses properly between the fenders. Unfortunately I nicked the paint a bit with the trim but that can be easily touched up. Now it sits in place better. Painted the grill and used some Molotow inside the headlight buckets and parking lamps. When this is dry the lenses will go on. Can't really tell in the pic but the perimeter of the grill is painted with good old Testors silver as that was not chrome in real life That's all for now as we sit and watch the paint dry.
  18. Dreams are good things to have just don't put all your eggs in one basket or they may end up scrambled.
  19. I like the color but it’s too dark for the Ford Silver Blue. I’ve own one in that color. What color are you going with for the interior?
  20. Do you have to ask that question every two months? Good things come to those who wait.
  21. Admire the little things in life.
