  1. Just my opinion, forget the aftermarket stuff and concentrate on clean building. Too many models have tons of aftermarket bits and pieces and still don't look good because the basics were neglected. You're off to a great start, keep them coming!
  2. Great job, I really like the redlines and the work you did on the grill.

    My models

Great collection, all well done. Thanks for sharing!
  4. I don't recall it being lopsided, but it could have been.

    Ford GT

Nice work. I'm going to have to spring for one of these, I've been waiting for the competition glue kit.
  6. I agree! Great work on the grill to make the headlights more realistic.
  7. Agreed. I wish they would kit a Toyota but probably not gonna happen.
  8. I just knew there had to be a TL car in there somewhere! Great bunch of racers!
  9. I've used Testors Gloss Gull Gray in the past, seems pretty close. One reason I've heard for light colored interiors is they stay a little cooler and it's easier to see fluid leaks.
  10. 189 parts on a 1/35 bike? You're a braver soul than I !
  11. I saved my nickels and dimes until I had $2.06 (sales tax) and went and bought an AMT kit. Drove my father crazy that I couldn't save more than $2 at a time
  12. Nice work, thanks for sharing.
  13. I like it! Don't often see these built.
  14. I agree, looks great!
  15. Mine too! I've ordered the HOK yellow, hope mine comes out half as nice.
  16. I agree, great work!
  17. Nicely done. Geoff was an underrated shoe in my opinion, I think he was the original driver for Hendrick when it was a 1 car team.
  18. Amazing! I wouldn't even know where to begin with real metal.
  19. I put another coat of wash and added the trim rings. You're right, looks better!
  20. Despite all the issues I think it looks great! Each one we finish is practice for the next. Keep them coming.
  21. Great job on the roadster! I saw front engined roadsters on the track during qualifying back in the day, you captured it perfectly.
  22. Thanks for all the kind comments. Tulio, the grille and horn covers do have a black wash, doesn't show up in the pics very well. I debated about the trim rings, I think I will dig them out and add them as you suggest. It's the AMT kit. The hardtop is separate from the body and had to have the seam filled in.
  23. Thanks for sharing this Richard! I just watched all the way through, what a great day that must have been. No "trailer queens" in that bunch. The skills competitions, the fire rescue, unusual bicycles, I really liked the race cars around the 14:30 mark. Those guys had some stones! I could not identify most of them but I'll bet my dad could.
  24. I really enjoyed this kit, went together very well. Some areas are simplified but I think it presents well. Comments welcome, thanks for looking!
  25. Now that's a real tractor! Outstanding model, thanks for sharing.
