  1. That is a beauty! Great colors, nice foiling.
  2. Absolutely the biggest motorsports weekend of the year. I too don't care for F1, it seems whoever gets to turn 1 of lap 1 first is the winner. I'm a diehard NASCAR fan but Indy holds a special place for me. I grew up nearby and my dad and grandpa used to take me to the track on the first weekend of qualifying every year back in the 60s when there were still roadsters and Novis attempting to qualify.
  3. Don't forget the Indy 500!
  4. Finished this one today. Really nice, detailed kit, one of the newer AMT tools. I did a Google image search and found one with this unusual color scheme, so 1950's. Comments welcome as always, thanks for looking!
  5. What a neat idea, and great execution! Also, sorry about your friend, he would have liked this.
  6. X2. Outstanding diorama. And there's nothing wrong with modesty. Too little of it around these days I'm afraid.
  7. Nice work on the opening doors as well. Neat model.
  8. She's got legs! Great build of an icon.
  9. Wow, that must have been coated with a 4" house brush! Great restoration.
  10. Looks great! Is that paint scheme based on a real one?
  11. I'm not a big fan of "show rods" but this is very cool. Great imagination and execution!
  12. Outstanding! Great color, nice neat foiling work. Well done. I need one of these to go with my '53
  13. Well done, great color combo and neat foil work.
  14. Nicely done. That color really suits it and the tweaks you did make it pop.
  15. This year's "must have" kit for me. I dare say there weren't many of these back in the day with any sort of whitewalls, narrow or wide.
  16. Nicely done, the pearl white really pops. That car was a show-stopper in it's day. Couldn't believe staid old Chevrolet would do such a thing!
  17. Tom, which box top did your kit (with the correct body) have? The #87 or #47? I'm hoping to obtain one and avoid getting the wrong body. Thanks!
  18. Nice work! Very smooth paint, great detailing under the bonnet.
  19. Really well done and convincing weathering. And in this case a wooden 2x4 is an entirely appropriate hood prop !
  20. Great model!
  21. What a great model! Clean neat building style, great color. Harry would give you grief for no mirror
  22. What a neat idea! I really like the suicide doors.
  23. Great model. Is this a kit, a diecast, scratchbuild?
