  1. They also have a craft section at Walmart with various sizes of chain for jewelry making. Also JoAnn Fabrics if they have those near you.
  2. Thanks Art! On a related question, when did they go from white to black rubber tires? I'm thinking of coloring the white tires in the kit, mostly because I think it will look better with black.
  3. You've set the bar pretty high my friend with your first build!
  4. Very nicely done. Silver paint looks flawless.
  5. This is why I love this site! Some great ideas to try, thanks!
  6. I'm working on a '14 Model T fire car and none of the kit parts are plated (the new ICM kit). I'm looking for opinions on the best way to replicate the shiny brass parts such as the radiator shell and headlights. Thanks in advance!
  7. Sweet!
  8. Got my copy today. Outstanding photographs, can't wait to dive in to the prose. Ditto on vol. II.
  9. When life hands you lemons..... Nice work!
  10. That's pretty cool! Love the idea of the straight 8, not the same old SBC.
  11. Nice use of spare parts!
  12. I'll third it. I used to use the Color Place gray primer also but it seems they no longer stock it? I use the black and white, both flat and gloss and they work well.
  13. Very clean work, ready for your logo of choice!
  14. I've built the Auburn and it's not a bad kit. The only thing I would do different is put some larger wheels on it. The kit wheel/tire combo seems small.
  15. Victory indeed! Well done.
  16. Very cool collection, I'm partial to the Impala.
  17. Also watching with interest. I really like seeing more vintage racers on here.
  18. If I'm not mistaken suspension upgrades came with the 1964 model year, new body style followed in '65.
  19. '64 Pontiac Grand Prix, red with black interior. The car I learned to drive in, it was mom's grocery getter. Dad offered to sell it to me when I turned 16 but I couldn't scrape together the cash, went for a '66 Corvair for $400 instead. Kind of wish I still had that one too!
  20. Those look very nice! Would the AMT (I think) '65 be the donor?
  21. Very well done. I expect this will probably get moved to the "All the Rest" forum at some point. What kit did you start out with?
  22. Same here. All the best Harry, looking forward to your book.
  23. Looks great in red, well done!

Beautiful work! I built one of these way back when I was a kid, would love another crack at one but they seem to be unobtainium
