  1. Nice clean builds, well done! Welcome, thanks for sharing.
  2. Nice work! I kinda like the stock wheel version myself.
  3. You had a stellar year! I love your replica stock builds clean building style.
  4. Great models and outstanding photography! You had a very good year. I can't wait for that Ford pickup BTW.
  5. Thought and prayers are with you, here's hoping for happy holidays.
  6. I appreciate Dave coming on here and explaining the inner workings of a model company. I don't believe anyone purposely puts out a flawed product. The global economy being the way it is today, even with state of the art communications over thousands of miles, errors creep in and judgments are made. The fact that Moebius is not as big as Revell or Round2 makes them more nimble and better able to catch and fix flaws before they are committed to steel. I am totally blown away by the quality of product coming these days from all the companies. The Hudsons and Chryslers are state of the art. Revell has always had high parts counts and with the newer tools well fitting kits. I currently have the AMT '60 Ford Starliner on the bench and am blown away by the engraving on the engine and the detailed separate frame. It's nice to be nostalgic over Johan kits or the Craftsman series, but I believe now is the new "golden age" of the hobby, and boards like this one allow us a voice like never before. We should call them out when we see things that are "grossly inaccurate", but we should also vote with our dollars when they get it right. Capitalism is a terrible system, but better than any other one we've tried so far! My 2c spent.
  7. That is sweet, both of them are great models. I especially like the trick firewall. Great photography as well.
  8. I've been on the fence about getting this one, yours just put me over the edge! Great model.
  9. Wow, that's gorgeous! Great underhood details as well. Great model.

    1959 Impala

Many thanks to everyone for all the kind words! Jeremy, I had the same problem with the steering box. I was able to get it in on the chassis but when I went to the always anguishing final assembly it didn't hit the firewall the way it should. Oh well, can't really see it down in there anyway. I have always loved the '59 the best of all the Impalas, something about the bat wings and cat's eye taillights just get me. I may try another, single color. I'd like to do Zora Arkus-Duntov's black Biscayne (or was it a Bel Air?)
  11. Great looking longroof!

    1959 Impala

I spent way too long building this, been on the bench since April on and off. BMF intimidated me for a long time but I think it came out OK, still not very good with vent windows for some reason. The finishing touch was the door mirror, which I promptly knocked off while taking photos! Oh well, used Krystal Kleer so it didn't mar the paint. Comments welcome, thanks for looking!
  13. That would be very cool. I'm surprised someone hasn't marketed something like that already.
  14. If there are any. Mirrors are a glaring omission in many kits.
  15. Can't miss with an Impala! Great model.
  16. My boss at my after-school job in high school had an orange "Judge". Great looking model, thanks for the memory jog!
  17. Land Ho! Great work Rich, another beauty from your bench. I really love this era you are working in, late '50s.
  18. I learned something today!
  19. Whitewalls on both sides? I totally agree about not sweating the chassis details that won't be seen anyway.
  20. If you look closely, sometimes you'll see both versions in the same chase scene ! Continuity was not a big concern I guess.
  21. Nice!
  22. Looking forward to this one, I've spotted them on eBay but haven't taken the bait yet. I'm thinking maroon and silver?
  23. The beginning of the end for the venerable roadsters. Excellent work, great model!
  24. Keep it going, great start!
  25. Enjoy the family holiday break Cato! We'll be here when you get back . Many times a short respite will allow more ideas to come forward and create more enjoyment and satisfaction.
