  1. Beautiful wagon. Unusual color choice but I like it. Excellent job. And isn't it funny that American iron from the '50's gets so much love overseas?
  2. Too cool longroof. Great job!
  3. I like it. Very nice color.
  4. Amen. It looks great, killer stance!
  5. Great model. Brings back memories of the days before mini-vans, these wagons were everywhere. Nice work.
  6. Awesome model. I'm blown away by the underside detail and the clean paint and foil work. Just outstanding!
  7. Great models. I love the Monte's of these years, you did a great job.
  8. Wow! All the good words have been used already. Great model!
  9. Looks great. I love the detail on the hemi and underneath. Excellent job!
  10. He's lucky the salesman didn't slug him, looked like he wanted to for a minute!
  11. Cool idea! Nice job on the underhood detailing too.
  12. You could have picked an easier subject for your first one! Great job.
  13. Bare metal foil on the replica stock builds. So much more convincing than silver paint!
  14. One and done for me, unless you count NASCARs . I've built dozens of the Monogram and AMT stock cars with different livery.
  15. I had one too, slant 6, 3 on the tree, but it had windows. That rig was the most fun ever, like driving a bus sitting on top of the front wheels. Great model, I've got to get one of these.
  16. Great model Terry! Keep them coming. I love the fat meats on the '50, makes it look mean.
  17. Welcome to the loony bin Anne. We all started somewhere, there's nothing stopping you from being every bit as good as anyone on here! I am totally impressed every day and learning still. Keep plugging on that stock car, you've got a good start.
  18. Very nice, love the color combination.
  19. Looks pretty good to these 58 year old eyes! What kit is that, and what scale? I don't recall ever seeing one in 1/24-25?
  20. It's a beauty. Nice clean work, I like it a lot!
  21. Great model! I just got this kit as a gift over the holidays, hope I can make it look that good. Love the big boats.
  22. Great model. Nice clean job on the foil. I like it a lot!
  23. Great models, right in my wheelhouse. Good job on both.
  24. The interior was done with decals from the kit and paint detailing. Thanks for the kind comments.
  25. I found this photo online of a downscale Belvedere and fell in love. I thought perhaps the trim changes might mitigate the flaws in the AMT body that everyone seems to notice. I sanded/ground off the Fury trim and left the thin side spear, which to my eye appears straighter than before? I added scratchbuilt B pillars that are 2mm longer than the window opening, which forced the roofline up a bit. I also found some steel wheels in the parts box and whittled the stock hubcaps down to 'dog dish' size. Otherwise the rest is built box-stock. It's actually a very nice kit with quite a bit of detail. I would have liked a 6-banger to complete the 'low-buck' theme but with the hood closed who will know? I really enjoy modifying kits from top-of-the-line trim levels to something a little more mundane. Hope you like, comments welcome.
