This is amazing stuff. I think it's much closer than 10 years off, my clairvoyant guess would be about 5 years for something affordable for the average hobbyist. The hobby is going through an evolution, not a revolution. Those digital files will be valuable intellectual property, the trick is going to be defending against pirates.

That is very nice. The problems with that kit have been well documented, your mods are very tasteful and it came out very cool. Great job!

Certainly a worthwhile goal, but I wouldn't go crazy the first time out. Sure, you can replicate each and every line, hose, cable on the real car but IMO sometimes you end up with a sum that is less than the parts. It is a balancing act building a clean, detailed replica. I would start with plug wires, a few of the more obvious larger hoses, etc. and see how you like it before going all-out. Of course if you're building a 1/16 scale you can add more without getting cluttered. Just my .02, do what makes you happy

Just finished tonight, the glue is still drying on the jewelry. Lindberg kit-I really enjoyed this one. Great detail and it went together really well. I wanted something different than a white top so I went with black. Looking at it now I don't really like the wide whitewalls, should have went with narrow whites. Comments welcome as always. I like the color and rims as well. These things were everywhere back in the sixties.

Pretty cool take on that car. I like the color scheme and the cut-down windshield. Very convincing.
