    I totally agree that the Waltrips and Wallaces can wait. There are a ton of old timers that shaped the sport that deserve entry before any 80's heroes. Rusty before Fireball, really?

    My holy grail is the MPC STP Turbine Indycar from 1967. Saw the real one at the track and built one when I was a kid, long gone now. They're out there but too rich for my blood. Good luck Rom. That looks like quite a project, those detail photos look awesome!

    I like the changes Harry, but (there's always a 'but') where would you post an Indycar, winged sprintcar, Lemans prototype, etc.? They're not Nascar, nor Drag. But then again I don't see much of those type racing rigs on here so I guess it's not a big problem.

    Nice and clean Mark, I always enjoy seeing your work. Watched Ricky race a lot back in the '80s on the old Nascar North tour, heckuva driver and not a bad analyst.

    I use acrylic black craft paint thinned with water, applied with a fountain pen. If you mess up you can just wipe it off and start again. It may be a little too dark, I'm experimenting with shades of gray as well.

    Awesome job, you nailed it! What paint did you use for the STP red? I did one several years ago using flourescent red with a gloss coat but it doesn't look near as good as yours. Love it. (I knew the sheriff would come down on you ) You NASCAR guys stay in your own pool!

    Nice car. Always liked this body style of Buick. Tommy Ellis was an underrated driver for sure, I saw him at NH as well, attended the first GN race on the 'new' track in 1990.
