The Love Bug on gas? Great job.
  2. You must be a masochist! I'm jealous, couldn't do that well on a solid bench. Great model and pictures.
  3. Nice job. My dad's 1st car was a 49 Ford and these are dear to my heart, even though he didn't like it and hasn't owned another Ford to this day! Love the opening doors.
  4. Outstanding, I couldn't do that well when I was 12. Now if she doesn't get derailed by boys.....
  5. I also like the color, great work on the interior.
  6. Looks good, nice clean job. How was this kit to build? I've got one in the stash but haven't gotten to it yet. Welcome aboard.
  7. Great work John. You're builds always inspire.
  8. This is my favorite. Great decal work. I love the spats on the front wheels.
  9. Sweet looking rail. The paint & decal work is fantastic.
  10. Some nice builds there. I especially like the #6 DK Ulrich car. Keep it up!
  11. Very nice. Those old IH's were workhorses, that's why you never saw a clean one. Great job.
  12. Yesterday's race was the best in a long time. I'm not a fan of open wheel racing but always watch the 500. They have a new car this year and more than one engine manufacturer so it's starting to get a little more interesting.

    Dirt Sedan

Great job, you really nailed the look.
  14. The white one in the first photo with the 1/2 race car looks like the Tennessee Thunder kit? The rest I have no clue, but it looks like a great collection of projects. I like the backhoe and fire truck!
  15. Love it. Great job.

    Indy 500

I grew up in Ohio and used to go with my dad and uncles to time trials every year in the 60's, never the race though. The era when the front engined Offy roadsters were still competitive before Jim Clark and Lotus changed things forever. I can't believe it's blacked out there, what a bummer!
  17. Water polo? Isn't that tough on the horses ?
  18. Folks on this forum got some skills! These are all great looking models.
  19. Great job, looks very realistic. Nice dio for the camera shots.

    Indy 500

To celebrate tomorrow's race I thought I'd post some of my Indycars. I haven't done many of these but there are more in the stash. First is 'Ole Calhoun, Parnelli won in 1963 in this car. From a vintage kit I got at a car show, the decals fell apart when I tried them. Will be ordering some from Indycals at some point to finish. Not sure about this one, built from a Monogram kit, from the early '90's Last but not least, the turbine car of Andy Granitelli (sp?) from I believe 1968. He came back with the wedge car after they legislated the original out in '67. I saw these run in person, a real trip as they 'whooshed' past compared to the other cars roar. I hope everyone enjoys the race!
  21. Very nice. 50's Fords are very cool. I like the extended taillights. Is that the stock grille?
  22. I personally don't see the need for instructions (until I build it of course!). A shot of the box art and pics of the sprues do it for me. If it's not being built by the reviewer I like a little kit history, previous versions etc. If it is built by the reviewer then tidbits about which parts don't fit well or things to watch for are helpful. I rarely buy a kit based on a review, but instead on subject matter. BTW Gregg, I think we all appreciate everything you do for the site. I know I couldn't operate at a loss no matter how passionate I was.
  23. Very nice collection. Love the sprint car. Clean builds all.
