  1. Nice and clean Mark, I always enjoy seeing your work. Watched Ricky race a lot back in the '80s on the old Nascar North tour, heckuva driver and not a bad analyst.
  2. Sweet. Nice paint, great job on the decals. Jr showed so much promise in those days.
  3. Nice clean build Mark, good job.
  4. Amen Gregg. None of us are on here to get flamed. False praise does no one any good, but neither does harsh criticism. 8 to 80, blind, crippled, or crazy we're all still learning things
  5. I use acrylic black craft paint thinned with water, applied with a fountain pen. If you mess up you can just wipe it off and start again. It may be a little too dark, I'm experimenting with shades of gray as well.
  6. Awesome job, you nailed it! What paint did you use for the STP red? I did one several years ago using flourescent red with a gloss coat but it doesn't look near as good as yours. Love it. (I knew the sheriff would come down on you ) You NASCAR guys stay in your own pool!
  7. These are very cool. Great job on both.
  8. Pretty neat. Nice idea, great execution. Love the action shots.
  9. Great build! Love the Chaparrals. You did an excellent job with a very basic kit.
  10. Nice build John. I've got a Rose's Buick as well but the decals haven't aged well.
  11. Very convincing. Love the color.
  12. Great job on 'ol Smut. I always wondered about that nickname, Ken Squire never failed to use it. Love the car.
  13. Nice car. Always liked this body style of Buick. Tommy Ellis was an underrated driver for sure, I saw him at NH as well, attended the first GN race on the 'new' track in 1990.
  14. Nice car. Love the Hoosiers.
  15. Great job. Petty always had nice looking cars, you captured the look well.
  16. You can check out my recent WIP for a similar car, Cale's Holly Farms Laguna here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54419 I used Monogram 1/24 wheels/tires to fill the wheelwells a little more.
  17. Another nice, clean build John. Bobby is one of my all time favorites. Great decal work. Those Buicks were the hot ticket in the early 80's with the slope nose for aero, although by today's standards they look like bricks .
  18. Nice job. Silver and black are both tough 'colors', you nailed it.
  19. Very nice build. Back with a vengeance!
  20. Sweet. Great job.
  21. hard to find people capable of PROPERLY driving stick This is the sad part to me. My 67 Chevy C10 has a 250/3ott.
  22. I think it's great we have a direct pipeline to the King on here, way to go Jacen. I'm loving all the interest in the older NASCARS generated by the Hornet and now the 300. Looking forward to the Revell '50 Olds as well. Keep 'em coming.
  23. Great job. I always loved the paint scheme on this car. You did an awesome job.
