  1. It's only a problem if you eat or smoke your kits
  2. This would look cool in a garage diorama with the doors off, like it was under construction/repair.
  3. I love that song! But you're dating yourself "Time has come today..."
  4. I like redneck, the KISS principle!
  5. Just wondering if anyone has developed some sort of spreadsheet for tracking their "collection". I've been meaning to do this for some time as I've been known to impulse buy something only to get it home and discover I already had one What should be listed? Obviously make, model, year, kit manufacturer. Do you go so far as kit #, year it was issued (if known), date purchased, etc.? Looking for ideas, maybe something I'm overlooking. Please chime in!
  6. Nice job! Great decal work. I haven't seen this one from Old Coyote
  7. Thanks for the added info Rob. I too love the late '80's-early '90's period. Saw my first race "in person" at Dover in 1984 and I was hooked for life. Man, I'll never forget the STP Petty blue/flourescent red #43 or being close to the fence on the front straight when Harry Gant went by at 180+. What a rush!
  8. Excellent foil job, nice interior. This one has it all for us '60's freaks!
  9. Sharp builds. Low and slow is the way to go!
  10. Sharp build! Did you open the headlights or did the kit come that way?
  11. As long as they weren't treated with setting solution, like solvaset or microsol. That stuff really makes 'em stick!
  12. I'd say well educated! Great job.
  13. Great job! Where did you find reference pics? Love the old whiskey runners.
  14. I own a banjo, and it just started playing by itself Seriously, this is great, period perfect. I agree, scale doesn't matter. The fact that it's a smaller scale just makes it more impressive!
  15. JG's rookie year, 1993 I think. I remember him running at Atlanta in '92, his first cup start and the King's last. Thanks for looking.
  16. This is sick! Great bodywork. I wouldn't ride in it for anything
  17. I love this! Great execution of a great design. Too bad GM didn't think of this (can you say Honda?, pickup built on a car platform).
  18. Wow. Who wouldn't want to spot this in a barn? Excellent work!
  19. Well done. I love seeing the '60's cars. Fireball was an incredible driver that hardly anyone remembers today. Outstanding replica!
  20. Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the encouragement. I had a few moments, like lining up the 2 tone on the cab & camper.
  21. They are the wheels that came with the Monogram F-350 dually pickup.
  22. I usually build OOB with no extra detailing beyond paint/foil. This is my first (finished) attempt at something other than box stock. I used a '60 Chevy P/U, grafted the back half of a F350 dually onto the frame, planted a 348 W motor from a '62 Belair because I didn't think the 235-6 would be up to the job, and then added the camper from the Model King reissue of the Racer's Wedge/Camper. It was a lot of fun and has given me some confidence to try a couple other projects that have been lurking in the dark recesses. I especially enjoyed building a kitchen sink/stove/fridge as a change of pace! Thanks for looking!
  23. Great car, awesome job on the foil! I know what you mean about seeing straight! These boats have an awful lot of trim.
  24. Hello fellow Green Mtn boy! I love the classic 5 spoke on just about anything, but in this case I like the full covers. Seems to go a little better with the 'sled' theme.
  25. I love the 50's-70's era but that's where I grew up. If you ask my dad he thinks they all went to heck after "the war" (the big one). Kids growing up now will cherish a 2007 Yota or Saturn when everyone's in their electric flying cars!
