  1. X2. Any dark red/maroon would work IMO.
  2. Very nice. Did you polish the paintjob? Davey was a great up and coming talent, could have gone far.
  3. Hey Harry, while you're at it you could either combine NASCAR and Drag, or do 'straightline' and 'circle track'. That way the dirt, indycar, and roadrace guys could join the fun. I agree about the 'how-to/tips' ideas.
  4. Since they only have forums for NASCAR and Drag Racing, maybe the bosses would consider adding one for dirt, or maybe combining them all into Racecars? I'd like to see some Indycars and whathaveyou as well
  5. Very convincing weathering. Hoosier did make Goodyear step up their game if nothing else. They had been a little too complacent up to then. Great car!
  6. Very nice John. You continue to come up with variations I've never seen.
  7. I'll bet you could take the roof off AMT's '70 Monte Carlo and be really close. Would probably have to do some work on the interior to remove the doglegs?
  8. Like many others, the winter months are prime. Summers are just too short here. I do try to do 1hr an evening this time of year, more when it's dark at 4:30pm
  9. Ok, it's been awhile. Here's "jaws" last ride, I think it was a Hendrick car (or possibly Hendrick backed). Darrell has moved on to announcing and I think he's pretty good at it, even if he backs everything NASCAR does and he likes Kyle Busch. Thanks for lookin' and "let's go racin' boys"!
  10. These are very cool. I find as I get older I'm being drawn more and more to earlier cars, such as the 'brass era' instead of the 50's-60's.
  11. It's only a problem if you eat or smoke your kits
  12. This would look cool in a garage diorama with the doors off, like it was under construction/repair.
  13. I love that song! But you're dating yourself "Time has come today..."
  14. I like redneck, the KISS principle!
  15. Just wondering if anyone has developed some sort of spreadsheet for tracking their "collection". I've been meaning to do this for some time as I've been known to impulse buy something only to get it home and discover I already had one What should be listed? Obviously make, model, year, kit manufacturer. Do you go so far as kit #, year it was issued (if known), date purchased, etc.? Looking for ideas, maybe something I'm overlooking. Please chime in!
  16. Nice job! Great decal work. I haven't seen this one from Old Coyote
  17. Thanks for the added info Rob. I too love the late '80's-early '90's period. Saw my first race "in person" at Dover in 1984 and I was hooked for life. Man, I'll never forget the STP Petty blue/flourescent red #43 or being close to the fence on the front straight when Harry Gant went by at 180+. What a rush!
  18. Excellent foil job, nice interior. This one has it all for us '60's freaks!
  19. Sharp builds. Low and slow is the way to go!
  20. Sharp build! Did you open the headlights or did the kit come that way?
  21. As long as they weren't treated with setting solution, like solvaset or microsol. That stuff really makes 'em stick!
  22. Great job! Where did you find reference pics? Love the old whiskey runners.
  23. I own a banjo, and it just started playing by itself Seriously, this is great, period perfect. I agree, scale doesn't matter. The fact that it's a smaller scale just makes it more impressive!
