I won an Amazon $50 gift card at a company party raffle and didn't know what to do with it. Perusing Amazon's limited selection of car kits I came across this. I used to build a lot of 1/72 WWI fighters so this piqued my interest. Mostly white metal parts with a basswood propeller. Upon doing a small amount of research it turns out this beast is a "rotary" not a "radial" engine, meaning the whole thing is connected to the propeller and cylinders and all spin! I can't wait to give it a try.
I agree with this, as well as the fact that today's offerings just don't drive the passion the way cars have in the past. For the most part today's cars are appliances, generating as much excitement as a dishwasher.
If it was me, i would make it curbside and only gouge out enough of the underside to have it sit right. To me stock cars are all about the livery. Doesn't look bad from the outside.
