  1. Oh yeah, it's a pretty big car; to put a face to the name so to speak, here's what $1500 gets me. Interior is in quite better condition than the exterior.
  2. Does anyone know if the hardtop '59 Cadillac Seville kit is still possible for future release? Just because I was hoping to get one to complete my "Big Three in Luxury" collection having now built both the '59 Lincoln and '59 Imperial, it would only make sense that I should want to have the 2-door hardtop '59 Cadillac to go along with them.
  3. Saw that one. No, not a convertible guy, and unfortunately the cougar I'm talkin' 'bout isn't on kijiji, its on facebook marketplace; a little trickier for us to get a hold of the seller since none of us have facebook (though a relative does so we just ask him) but the car is super nice.
  4. That is super cool; I like the '60 Pontiacs. This is a vintage kit, correct?
  5. $22,000 fresh orange re-paint
  6. Rains came today; further enhancing the snow melt after yesterday's stifling 12 degrees celsius and sun. Also, I have a car if I want it. A 1985 (I believe) Pontiac Parisienne four-door. Pale grey witha black vinyl top. Kinda rough around the edges but very low Kms. Relatives down in Southern Ont. said it's mine for $1500. Can't lose on the price that's for sure, and I may be satisfied with it. However, to go and get the car would be a few months from now so I'm still looking for \other Classic cars. There's two in the next city over, a '70 Cougar and a '57 Ford, both extremely reasonable prices considering condition and power. Ususally we go on a weekend trip there occasionally but it's not going to happen for this weekend. Maybe next but I don't know if those cars'll still be for sale then. Especially the '57. Mint condition 2-door with a Thunderbird motor. $15,900.
  7. Looks like the URL expired for that image; I can't see it now either. It was just a '70s Corvette done up as a motorhome. Looked cool
  8. Finally got one after waiting nearly four years to get one. Ordered this for $26; a very reasonable price for a curbside, which was one of the reasons I never got the kit earlier because I didn't want to spend $43 on a kit with no engine so I am quite pleased to have got this one now. Inspired by the '59 Imperial in the 2003 movie, Secondhand Lions, though it is a two-door not a four-door I did keep in mind the colour scheme from the movie car. All I need now is a '59 Cadillac two-door hardtop and I'll have the big three in luxury for 1959 since I have in addition to this Imperial the near impossible to find 1959 Lincoln. The tires on this Imperial are blackwall on both sides, the set from my AMT '57 Chevy that I didn't use on that car cause I wanted whitewalls for that one.
  9. ‘64 Grand Prix, that’s a nice one
  10. Almost forgot about it till I watched it Wednesday night, the '60 Plymouth Fury from In the Heat of the Night. Very awesome movie. I know the people driving the car are the bad guys but boy they got a nice car.
  11. Basically done school till Sept. just one day next week and 2 final tests
  12. Mail delivery yesterday $26. Finally got one after waiting almost 4 years. Originally had some sort of idea to attempt putting an engine in it but kinda lost interest. Then I watched the 2003 movie, Secondhand Lions, and saw the relatives' 1959 Imperial four-door so I thought a four door conversion could be a cool thing to do but after the '83 Cadillac and '61 Meteor conversions I think I'm just gonna take it easy so thisun'll be a two-door, though still greatly inspired by the car in the movie. Also, this kit is the first brand new kit since my '66 Thunderbird kit in January, 'cause since then I built two secondhand kits and then rebuilt 5 of my own kits so I totally forgot how it was to open a fresh new kit with parts still in the bags. It was nice. And a little wierd.
  13. Awesome Lincoln haul; wow; can't wait to see whatcha build outta them. Also; I've got that same Shelby Cobra kit, builds up real nice, and even though the decals are from 1988 (or 89?) they surprisingly weren't brittle; at least back in 2021 they were still good.
  14. There's quite a few around here; some guy in the subdivision next to ours has a mint black one
  15. Did you spray over it with red or is that still the pink colour; either way it looks pretty darn cool
  16. A change from the Cragars/thin whitewalls it had before. Also brightened up the trim since I had used some flat grey at the time of the original painting. Still not a huge fan of the "Marauder" white script I put on originally but I don't mind them. Felt too lazy to scrape them off.
  17. Another vote on keeping the colour; it looks pretty cool in that shade of pinkish red. Also the street machine style looks spot on.
  18. I had the same thought of doing a '60, but yes someone would have to print the grille and tail panel for it since I didn't think I could use any existing custom parts like I did on this '61.
  19. Sun no clouds or rain from now until Sunday.
  20. Oh I like this; looks very distinguished.
