  1. Very nice, great paint/polish work ! I like it, but I think the driver needs to eat something, hes a tad on the thin side.
  2. Great looking truck, even though the paint wasnt what You planned, still looks good. Paint can be a funny thing, its when You dont plan a certain effect, You get it. It happened to me a few times. And anyone who served in any war, thanks so much for Your service. My friend's uncle was in Vietnam, and the stories he told, man You guys earned all the ribbons in the world and more !
  3. Stupid is, as stupid does. Talk about total lack of brains.
  4. I'm going real, if its a model/diecast, its a darn good one !
  5. Cool build, how about Lemon Drop ? Top Banana ? Yellow Streak ? Old Yella ? Well, theres a few ideas, cool seeing it in a color other than red.
  6. Oh, by the way I loved the GTO kits, I gotta get some of these, and re-live the good old days
  7. The Judge came first for sure, I built the Judge while still in high school. The Metal Glow Dodges mentioned above showed up late december in 83. I was out of shool then,(graduated June 83 ) and went to the hobby shop the day after Christmas, and the Dodges were just put out on the shelves. I think the 68 came right after that or slightly before.
  8. Buck, I belive flat black would be a sure bet for a base color. I've used it before, and that "other magazine" did an article on it back probably in the late 80s early 90s. Do it over a container, and have a funnel, so you can pour the extra back in the bottle. Just experiment with different bases, and amounts of the rustall. I do know it works well, along with chalks to even further enhance it.
  9. Ok Harry, is it April Fools day? On the first page under the pic, it says real, but above You say model? Which is it ?
  10. Very cool, but make sure the 1/25th scale husband shakes most of the snow off the tree, or else his 1/25th scale wife will, never stop #*%@^ing at him !
  11. I went with real, the things taht gave it away to me were the side markers, I could see teh "bulb" area and teh reflector areas, and the real wheel, I can see light at the bottom through the spokes.
  12. Well, I'm 45 now, but when I was 14/15 my mother went crazy and got me a bunch, some of the ones I remember are, Monogram 66 Malibu ( the red one I think ) AMT 63 Vette, AMT Freightliner COE Coors set with trailer, AMT 57 Chevy, ......and out of the car realm, a submarine. There were a bunch more, but thats too long ago. I remember spending my Christmas vaction slapping them together, only to blow them all up that summer. I wish I had every kit I ever had back, of course I'd need a bigger house to put them in.
  13. Very, very, cool ! love that panel work ! Great job so far.
  14. Strange thing too,...I dont know if its just me, but some of those cars seem to sit very high on the top of those trailers. they appear higher than most van type trailers, so I wonder about clearance problems under bridges and wires and such. But very cool reference pics, and yes, Harry, I agree with the modern trailers being way more efficient, like only 4 cars maybe 6 per trailer, of course cars were much longer at one time too.
  15. I went for real, the roof looks real, unless theres a lot of photo shopping. Plus all the other details are there, unless some one is a total Rover fan, I believe its real
  16. Nice, my dad had a 72 Midget. By the way You have 77 in the title, do you mean 67? Because I thought by the mid 70s, they went to the ugly oversized rubber bumpers. The model and the 1/1 both look great.
  17. I've used Easy Off, it seems to work well. Just make sure You use the original formula, not the "No Fume" version. Also, I've never had any real luck with generic versions myself. I did use some stuff from my hobby shop a few years back. I believe it was called ELO Easy Lift Off. It worked but it was $$$$$$ for a small can.
  18. 13 ? Wow, I wish I did that good of work at 13. As for color? Heres a few choices,,Maybe a an off-white, or perhaps a olive drab, like it was painted with some Army surplus paint. Theres always the black, grey, or red primer. I'd stay away from metallics, or anything too shiney.
  19. You got me ! I went for real, I mean who would build a model of that repulsive thing ? Man, real or model,.....dat bees ugly !
  20. Very cool looking build. Where did those wheels come from? Kit or resin items? Again, two thumbs up !
  21. Very sweet, I like the windows, with the chrome and rubber look, very nice touch. This has got to be one of the greatest kits ever made. It seems there are so many building possibilities.
  22. "Love Missile F1-11" 12" (US), edited for the movie Artist : Sigue Sigue Sputnick Got this off a soundtrack web page
  23. Yes, You can look it up, it has something to do with a model club or something a long time back
  24. National Nameless Luminairies
  25. Sweet ! I like the off-white white walls, and what kit are those wheels from? NIce job on it overall !
