  1. The ones that kill me are the listings that have a really great low starting price, and or a really good buy it now. But,........big but if You dont read the whole ad, and just "buy it now" You could find Yourseld paying more than You first thought, because of the shipping costs. I found one guy that listed some Italeri kits at only 24.95 a piece ! when everyone else is in the 60-75 range. But his shipping was $50.00 ! Funny thing, a couple weeks back I saw a ERTL International 4070A I didnt bother bidding cause they always go way out of my range, it ended up with no bids at all, I could have had it for 9.99 plus 8.00 shipping. ARRRGGHHH !!!
  2. Cool, I found that web site a couple years ago, and started the same project. It kinda stalled, as with so many of my WIPs. I have all the parts, its just a matter of getting to it. I also have the 65 ElCamino from Hollywood Knights in the works.
  3. Pretty cool old find, kinda looks like a race car that actually raced. Thread,.......the good old days. It has a "old school" feel to it.
  4. Is that what You sold, or what You bought? I can see why You are broke ! LOL
  5. Cool, I just hope that bug, doesnt jump up and hit the windshield,....it would break it ! And now You need a icecream truck so you can make a float !
  6. With hoods, and trunk lids, and the like, I sand the edges to narrow, and/or shorten the panel. This way after primer paint and clear, it will still fit. It depnds on the fit before paint, if the raw kit is tight, then You know the painted verison will be to tight, and result in bad fir, or worse yet chipped paint.
  7. Hey ! I was gonna say the 1/25th scale pound ! I see I'm not the only smart alleck with a warped mind.
  8. Sweet, and different, but cool too ! Nice concept !
  9. Funny thing is Hotwheels had a set with the woody, trailer and a midget ! Mine was yellow woody, with yellow trailer, and a black and white midget I believe. I'm normally not into midgets, but these might change my mind. And I wonder since we cant call little people "midgets" amymore, does that mean thses cars have to be called "little race cars" or perhaps "Full sized challenged" ?
  10. Whatever it is, or isn't it looks like it just sucked on a lemon ! Who designed that? And who gave the go ahead to make it ?
  11. Cool rod ! Nice job on the changes, great color choice too !
  12. MY friend tells his wife I could be here, or at a bar all night. You'd have to pick up the phone book, look under bars, and start with the letter "A" and call every one until You find me. Your choice !
  13. At first I missed the "what if" part of Your post, although the way things are going I can see this happening ( lets hope not ). Maybe they cold use these to deliver those little sample packets of rice ?
  14. Well its either a model of a real car, or a real car that inspired a model? I'm going real !
  15. Pretty cool rod,.....but I believe thats a 33/34 Ford not a 37. Nice color choice.
  16. Awesome build, great weathering. Although I noticed the tail lights are spotless, so either they were cleaned, by the truck driver/owner, or someone forgot to weather them. Still a great looking rig, looks like a good old workhorse.
  17. NICE ! Cool van, great paint, wheels aren't my cup of tea, I'd had gone Keystones, or Cragars, or maybe some slots. I see someone is ready to party,........alas, shes alone in the back of the van. Her man must have gone to get some brewski's, or perhaps stepped out to get rid of some brewski's ? Is this a Revell van?
  18. I like it, but is that a solar cell on the front of the building? Going green are we ?
  19. Very nice work, but yes, the chrome needs to be dull coated. And maybe rusted a tad, or perhaps a small dent ?
  20. A trailer ? A trailer ? Cars are meant to be driven !
  21. Yes, the tire thing has been discussed to death,.......but,.........why cant the model companies, make fictional generic tire company names ? The " Service Master " "Rhino Tuff" " This goes for trucks, cars, motorcycles and so on. At least give us ratings, size, inflation markings,...those cant require a license,,....can they? If I can make up tire names off the top of my head, I'm sure someone at the model companies can do it? I mean blank tires look toy like and fake. By the way I cant wait for this Lonestar ti hit the shelves.
  22. The 1/4 panel character line I agree does need to be softer. But the roofline is not that bad, Harry's overlay is what is off. Look at the rest of it, not just the roofline. I see at close enough, its way better than Trumpeters offerings. Depending on the height of the cameras on both the 1/1 and the mock up that could throw everything off too !
  23. Kinda cool, but yes break out the putty. Unless You're going for the artificial limb look ! Hey heres an sick idea, now I can do the " Drummer from Def Leppard" diorama ! Add a little long hair and early 80s vette in pieces, in a field , Bingo !
  24. Try Ebay Motors, most of the time the nicer the car, the more pics the seller will post. You have to settle for a Belair, but I'm sure You should be able to find something.
  25. This is Your brain on drugs,.......any questions ?
