  1. Yes, please shed some light on the upper half of the body. either outside, or a light above. I like what I see so far.
  2. Heck, reminds me of my ex ! oink oink !
  3. WOW ! Great builds, if it wasnt for the leaves in a couple of the photos, they could be in the Real or Model, category, and I'd probably vote real ! Man those are great looking cars, the Camaro front view really looks real
  4. Nice work, what color is that? It looks like a very dark purple/maroon but it looks black too. could be the lighting. Either way nice Stude.
  5. So far so good ! Its the Golden Goose, or perhaps The Golden ticket? looks good. Now get it done !
  6. For me the tires were the giveaway, I can see streaks from the Armour All.
  7. I would assume, that since they are recent kits, they may be reissued. Perhaps with different decals, maybe not. I know some of the Polar Lights stuff ended up as AMT/ERTL kits, so who knows ? You may get another chance at them.
  8. I've used Alclad on small parts, after panting them gloss black. With a brush, I just dab it on, and let it flow, at first its almost invisible, but will lay out and gloss up. Dont clear it ! it will dull out, and dont use too much it will also dull out.
  9. NASCAR. like ALL SPORTS has become only about the $$$$$$ and nothing but the $$$$ its a business, not a sport anymore. And the cars suck, they arent stock cars anymore, the showroom versions of these things have V6s and front wheel drive, at least most of them do. And they have way too many rules, its boring.
  10. DON'T TOUCH THAT PAINT ! That looks great for a quickie build, since its a race car it needs some decals ! Sponsors, a name, ect.
  11. Thats one good looking Dart, nice color combo !
  12. Very cool ! So do you have a train layout to put that on? of is it just for fun? Either way I like it !
  13. Very nice Merc ! I love a Ford in a Ford product ! Great paint too !
  14. Thanks guys, I'll have to look into the Flintstone piece. Besides 1/25th plastic, customizing diecast is another hobby.
  15. Love it !, that is totally cool ! two thumbs up !
  16. OK, this is a Jada 57 Suburban they call it, I say its a panel van. Or perhaps a Pie Wagon. This is 1/64th scale, from thier Old School series from a few years back. I bought this new about 2002-3? I cant remember for sure. Anyways it was flat black with flames, or perhaps scallops, with the wide whites and red steelies with moons. I got it home and took it apart the first night. I stripped the paint, and repainted it with duplicolor,....both ford colors I think,...again it was a few years ago. I took some wheels a tires from a Hotwheels. The PIE WAGON decal came from the Revell Thames, I just used the pie wagon from the Simple Simon decal. Then I put this away, unfinished, and they it sat in a box, until a few nights ago, I decided to finish it. I used bare metal on the front window/visor, and alclad on the headlights, and tailights. Its not perfect, but I still like it. I only wish they made a kit of this in 1/25th. Enjoy ! PS the macro mode brought out some dust specks that look huge in 1/64th.
  17. Yes, the windows are still amberish. The headlights appear to be a plexi cover, and the lenses are behind there. I'm gonna look for more pics, to see if I can find one with a date. I've seen a pic with the covers at another angle, closer up,.....dang ! I should have saved that pic.
  18. I once seen a pic of it with red headlight covers, not lens. the covers were shaped oblonged oval like the bezels.Maybe he had more than one of these willys? I thought I also seen it with red windows. I know I've heard as for wheels and tires those changed with gassers on a week to week basis. Heck even on a weekend they changed. theres a book called the "Gasser Wars" Theres are a ton of pics of a all kinds of gassers. I found this pic, You can see the covers I'm speaking of. willys pic
  19. LOL, I guess its not fitting in the garage? And maybe one of those "Fire Escape" rope ladders would work, once You're in, just pull it up inside with you. Of course getting gass in it would be a pain. I must say that thing aint over the top, being that high it is the top !
  20. Yes mega pixels isnt the most important thing. I have a fuji 2650, I bought back in 2002-03. Its 2.0 Mega Pixels and has macro mode and still takes great close ups. When using macro mode its very important to stay STEADY no shaking, even the slightest movement will blur it. I paid 199.00 back then, and bought the rechargeable batteries, since it will eat a set of regular AA's in about ten minutes. Another thing, to save on battery power, unless You really neen it, like for close ups, shut off the screen, and use the regular viewfinder, for family stuff, and vactions. I went to the zoo with my screen shut off and went almost the whole day on the first set of batteries.
  21. I work in the automotive after market. and 99% of the vehicles we work on are automatics. I rarely see a manual anymore, in fact a few years ago a local Olds dealer had a loaded Calais 442 edition, loaded with everything except a auto trans. it took for ever to sell, in fact it sat so long on the show room floo the mechanics took parts off it when they needed them. It was a 17,000 car redueced to 10,000 last i seen, I dont know if it ever sold. I was thining of buying it myself, but changed my mind. Looking back I should have, but my point is that no one wants manuals anymore, so the manufacturers arent gonna build them. I can drive either, and have no real preference for me.
  22. You can use automotive stripper from local parts store. But,....as for keeping grille or head lights forget about it. Unless they are separate parts and not decals or tampos they will go with the stipper. You may ber able to try masking them, but the stipper will most likely soak though the masking. Good luck ! maybe someone else on here has an idea.
  23. OK although it appears to be on a table, something says real, and photoshop.
  24. I love it, I always love paypal espically when selling. Its nice not having to wait a week or more for a MO. And I have the PayPal Debit card, so as soon as I'm paid I have money to use, and when I get to the post office to ship I use the card for that to. And for buying it saves a trip to a store or post office for a MO. I know paypal charges a fee, but considering You get paid faster, and when You buy the seller gets paid faster, which usually means You get what You bought faster. And I sometimes keep money form sales in there, its like a online bank account for those online purchases.
  25. Only if shes willing to do That
