  1. The only thing it's missing is a 50 caliber. LOL I'm usually not into rat rods, but this one has "character".
  2. You've got a very clean Camaro there. I also like the stance. It gives it a very "period' look.
  3. That is one nice goat.
  4. Those double sided whitewalls really add a touch of class. This is a very clean build.
  5. That is one cool kat.
  6. I don't remember seeing that in any Thunderbird brochures. What a cool way to deliver laundry or cakes.
  7. I started doing fiber optics on a semi truck, but I've now changed to doing it with grain of wheat bulbs. There are just too many sharp angles to use the fiber optics.
  8. I envy those that get to have respect for serving in the military. I wish your son, and all of those serving their country, safety and good will.
  9. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May peace be with your family.
  10. Now that's what I call impressive. I wonder if I could talk him into doing one with the same detail for my N scale layout?
  11. They had everything from boring to scary except pretty.
  12. I remember a cartoon that actually had human characters in it. Daffy Duck was riding around with somebody driving a Gremlin. I don't remember much more than that, but it would be cool to see that in model form.
  13. You passed the test. As long as your signature falls in line with the rules, it should be fine.
  14. Brian These pictures bring back a lot of memories. I raced dirt track stock cars back in the seventies. A wreck that left pieces of my car scattered from the fourth turn, clear to the first turn, and me in recovery for the next two years. I would still go back to driving in a heartbeat if I had the chance. Just looking at these pictures, I can smell the oil, fuel, dirt, and tires. Thanks for sharing them.
  15. It sounds to me that you have two options. The first is to concern yourself with an organization that says they don't want you. The second is to come and join us and have some fum. From one lone wolf to another; welcome to the forum, and let's see some of your models.
  16. David, that is an awesome build. I grew up in Iowa, and your weathering is perfect for many of the cars that I've seen.
  17. Welcome to the forum. I'll second what has been said about the Italeri kits. I've built several, and they go together smoothly and cleanly. They are multi piece body kits, so do a lot of test-fitting, and follow the sequence in the instructions. I didn't do that on my first Italeri kit, and got into some trouble. I skipped ahead and built some things, without using the instructions, and found that I had to then disassemble them to place parts that should have come first. Good luck, and be sure to show us the completed model.
  18. Contact your local Veterans Administration. They've been asking for models for disabled Vets.
  19. There was a SAAB from many years ago that remended me of a 40 Ford. I always wondered if anybody ever thought to street rod one of those?
  20. This is a 53 Ford that I built awhile back. A post on a different section of the forum jarred my memory of it. This was a fun kit to build, except for the fender skirts. No matter what side of the car I placed them on, they look like they're backwards. I was smart in that I glued them on with a water based glue. That way I can redo them some time in the future. I added some spinners from the parts box to the hubcaps. This was actually built to reflect a 54 Ford that I had back in the early seventies. They were really a fun car to drive. I loved the sound of the Y block engine through the duals.
  21. Dave I second all the fine comments that have already been stated. You'll be in my family's thoughts and prayers.
  22. The only problem I had with mine was with the fender skirts. No matter which side of the car I placed them on; they looked like they were on backwards.
  23. I could never compete in this category. I just can't seem to stay out of the parts bins. LOL
  24. How about the 67 Camaro convertible from Diners Drive-ins and Dives? Just for fun; add a figure of him and a food tray with it.
