  1. I found a different shade of purple that the wife liked better. So going that route instead.
  2. I am shooting to get the engine in primer, the exhaust/rear end assembly in primer and install the roll bar as well this evening. The more I can do this next couple days the better, as it will be 19 days before i can sit at the bench again.
  3. So today I accomplished finishing the Peterbilt I posted in WiP (Kenworth with Ugly trailer .. I misnamed it) and posted it in Completed in Big Rigs. And doing some prepwork for the GTO in an earlier post laying on my work area.
  4. Great work! I could see that as a truck around in my area.
  5. Great work! And that's awesome on the 1st place win!
  6. Nah..that's model related... comfy chair makes building so much better, I need to get one for my office, the kitchen chair I am using is ok, but I really need a comfortable one.
  7. Thanks @PappyD340 My first truck and now I have the confidence to do another with detail and weathering.
  8. Welcome!! Good to your WiP's! Can't wait to see them finished!
  9. Such a great color combo!
  10. That's neat as heck! The paint wildly groovy! Keep us posted!
  11. Fantastic! Gonna follow this as a fellow Oldsmobile car guy and a lover of drag racing! Can't wait to see this as you do bit by bit and then wrap it up.
  12. I just remembered I picked up some new brushes from Joann's before they were sold out, and some new tweezers this last week.
  13. Slick build!
  14. Bumpers, wheel and shifter mount dechromed, block put together, a bunch of flashing removed from the parts I am using. The kit so far has some flashing issues, and gonna use box stock stuff, minus making a radiator support as the weird thing they called a support I got rid of. Next is some primer, and then color for the block, bumpers and wheels.
  15. Beautiful!! I could see this truck running up and down the hills in WA state with a load of lumber!!
  16. Outstanding!! So glad you shared this. I have that same trailer and just wrapped up the same truck as well. They look great in blue. And your right... how else do you make a trailer stand out... load them up with vehicles!!
  17. That is beautiful! Did you dechrome things to paint? The fuel tank and the steps??
  18. Fantastic! I just built this one, and I will buy another to build!
  19. This is my first Semi Truck and Trailer with my first time doing rust. I am very happy with how this turned out. I will be building another trailer for the Truck done in the same blue as well. I will also be building a day cab (not sure what) that will match the trailer. I hadn't done any weathering or what not on this as it was my first go, and since I know I can do these big trucks well, I will be detailing and the like on future trucks. Thanks for looking!
  20. Engine in and Cab mounted. Have to wait on some small parts to dry, so will continue the assembly tomorrow. For being my first Semi, I am thrilled at how well I am doing. Much better than expected tbh.
  21. That is amazing! I hope you see more than just that little guy!
  22. Great work!
