  1. On hold until I get home. The wind here has been brutal so not able to do anymore work on it. Will resume in about 10 days if things go right.
  2. Wicked build!
  3. Wicked! I have a few of those kits in my stash. I just need to source the straight axle now!
  4. Tomorrow I am gonna grab a can of tan for the interior and some flat black for the frame and front grill assembly. Once I get that shot, I send the bits and bobs to the house, and just do brush things. From what I can tell, I have what I need I am thinking to finish the kit.
  5. So painting at the hotel is fun. Took the box out with a bunch of stuff to put in primer.. was fun, and of course the wind kicked up so yeah. Will try and shoot the bed and cab tomorrow, and that moment when you realize the other color you need to spray .. you dont have .. flat black, and flat tan, but hey you have the blue for the body and bed....
  6. Nice! Wes has some great stuff for sure!
  7. I have been to Boulder a couple times, and next time I get that way, I will definitely stop there!
  8. Your welcome, I just wish I could of gotten under the hood to see the engine details.
  9. I am sitting on 400ish, and now have started to build since things are in a better spot for me. I will also be taking 1 everytime I go out of town for work as well so that will help cut down the stash a lot. I fear as another said... where am I gonna put them? My wife makes quilts and some other stuff, so she doesn't say anything about my stash.
  10. Thank you! This thing is .. amazing. Even with the others there, this one always takes center stage for me.
  11. Also... rookie mistake, I didn't measure the headlamp brackets so... yeah.
  12. I didn't want this to be .. box style so I figured....30's hot rod. So now to see how this goes.
  13. So this is my hotel build. As you can see, I took the running boards and front fenders off it and have the rear fenders mounted. I will be running the lowered front suspension and doing my take on a 34 Hotrod truck. Going to use the flathead for it, and gonna try my hand at straight pipes off the block. I will have to get some primer tomorrow after work, and take it outside to shoot it and let it gas off before bringing back up to my hotel room. I do have a couple different blues, and I think it will work with what I am doing. I am thinking tan interior but not a 100% sure yet. Will try and get this kit fully done minus mounting the wheels on it since I will have to have it tucked into the suitcase and it will get bounced about. I have access to some soft shipping foam that I am going to wrap it in as well. Will keep posting on status as I complete things.
  14. Thanks! The trailer was my first venture into rust as well. I plan on building a day cab to match the trailer.
  15. Nice work!!
  16. After seeing this car again, I decided it will be one of my holy grail builds. 1:12 kit and yeah. I took the pics I did to help myself, but to help others who may have this in there stash. Plus it's just a bad ass car that I really love.
  17. Great work!!
  18. I will get a box big enough to hold a kit box for sure. I plan on priming things when home, and have a .. on the road kit always in prep. I use acyrlics for detail and such work, so always have water on hand lol. I will hunt the nail brushes down for sure. I have medicine bottles so can shove extra blades in it. And an extra 2 rolls of tape for masking. And yeah we have tools, my wife has fabric for quilting lol.
  19. I plan on going to HL after I eat dinner to hit it for a couple things, brushes, and now a cutting mat. I have been on the road a lot for work, and was like man, I wanna build.. but yeah. Is there anything else you can think of? I am gonna get a pencil box that has good locks to keep things from bouncing about in the suit case.
  20. WOW!! The level of detail is .. awesome!! I need to keep building to get better and one day put out this kind of beauty!
