Great stance on that guy. Really sits nice. That sucker sits so low the deep chassis makes it look like it has a belly pan. I stared and stared at that chassis until it finally dawned on me ... those Revellogram '32 rails are backwards using the taper of the "front" of the rail's to help bring the rear end up. Now that's cool...
So many terrific models. But I gotta say, that jet powered funny car was an awesome way to start things off! Did it reaaly look as good up close and personal?
Looks great. I love the molded in hitch detail. I'm assuming the trailer and Hauler will both get the cream and red (orange?) detailing of the Raptor hisself. It should look incredible!
Thanx for the pics. Steve!
These guys totally "get it"! They will sell all they are willing to produce. So let's hope they don't drop the ball and keep their limited production runs too limited!
What are the two engine? Not that I really care, you can never have too many engines to choose from!
I hate to sound like everybody else, but there are so many cool period details that some closer-upper shots would be greatly appreciated! Really neat rod, though!
The final on the back of the pickup looks fabulous. The rib down the back and the "tail" off the pan not only link it with the roadster but really give the back end the flow and weight it needed. The curvature of the "tailgate" is just right. The trailer looks show-car sharp too. This combo should have no problem getting contracts for all the big Kustom Kar shows! Almost time to hit the road!
Hey Mike, this is a perfect summary of the issues for this adaptation. I recommend anyone re-read this post carefully. Besides being a virtual recipe for tackling the job, it will give you a great appreciation for the superb work that has been done by Replicas & Minatures of Maryland on their kit.
Now that's info I would love to see. I've probably got about a half dozen variants on the '29 roadster/'32 frame combo I have planned. I've figured out possible approaches to this adaption buit Tim's methods are usually so simple and direct I would love to see what he has to offer.
