Its actually simple. Distributors need electric current and a coil to make the spark ( a battery ) Magnetos have internal coils and make the spark thru the coil and magnetized rotor system. I rebuilt literally a thousand or more in my 23 years as an equipment mechanic. So if it aint got a battery it needs a mag!
Oh man, that's neat!! I sure like this. Nice and clean and shows a lot of skill. I like how you used he front of the T frame with the back of the 32. Dig that interior also! Got any pics from the bottom? I'd like to see more of the frame.
I'm working on a 61 Styline Ranchero I got from a friend on another forum. It had the usual 42 coats of testors brush paint to go with the dry and cracked putty on the custom front and rear ends. After a few days in the stripper it was all nice and clean. As I was working on the body I realized that I was sanding on the 50 year old flash still around the windows! I thought to myself that it cant get better than this!
Yea youre right. What got me suckered in was the Buttera suspension peeking out from under the front fenders. I thought "hey, this ones right!" Showed me why I shouldnt think too hard!
Whats with Revell and the forward slant on the 48 chop? Reminds me of the Merc. I'll still buy a least one, but I long for the day when a kit looks right without making a lot of mods.
