  1. OOOooo, I think I'm going to be ill.......
  2. 1976 Volkswagen 1200L.!!
  3. They were relatively common back then. Floyd Head: Smirnoff, one gorgeous car! My avatar, the awesome Winkle & Trapp Magicar! Ive seen decals for Smirnoff, but I cant remember where. I checked Slixx and didnt find anything. I'm sure the guys that build more rails than I do could help.
  4. The wire and teflon tape is a great idea for brake ducts, but no way do they resemble VW heater hoses. I like your idea of running a die over sprue! Thats pretty ingenious. I bet it looks just like the real thing!
  5. I usually tilt the can upside down and spray till no paint comes out, but sometimes it seems like there is a whole lot of paint coming out. Ive also used various concoctions to soak the nozzles in. This works sometimes if the nozzle is clogged, but doesnt seem to make a difference on a day to day basis. SO, I just had an idea......the reason for turning upside down and spraying is of course, to get air out of the can with no paint to clean the nozzle. Im gonna try removing the nozzle and shootig some compressed air thru it. Ive had compressors since 1965, so I have no clue why I never thought of this before!
  6. Ck out what I found at gasser madness! Lousy pic, and its a 63, but I like how it looks without the front bumper.
  7. This is great! Ive only seen one of these complete before now. Where in the world did you find all of the old kits youve been posting? Seems like you have every one of the "grails"!

Man, that sectioned and chopped truck is fantastic!
  9. They're all great, but I love gthe dragster and the '32!!
  10. IMC did a quite fiddly 2E which shows up on ebay occasionally for less than $125. Cox made a nice slot car body, which I think is available in resin, but of course needs a lot to turn it into a atatic model. Paramount and I think Otaki made 2E's but I dont know how much they go for, nor how accurate they are.
  11. Heres a link to a bunch of picsof the real thing! http://www.gassersinc.com/pictures.htm Just because it wouldnt be a "real" gasser as used in competition doesnt mean it wouldnt be cool!
  12. I like it a lot. Great job!
  13. My jaw hit the floor when I saw this. It's just over the top cool!!
  14. Wow, that interior is fantastic!
  15. I bet if I get one o' them Fitch Fuel Catalysts to go along with this I cold get my Durango way past 200 mph!! I been watchin' that video and it seems like my A/C blower motor spins faster that that supermacharger thingy. Hmmmm, I wonder iffin I can make my A/C into a supermacharger...O yeah, and it would blow COLD AIR too!!
  16. I want some! haahaahaahaahaaa
  17. Yea I'll second that, and add backdating the 29 roadster pickup to the Blue Beetle!
  18. The very first was the 55 (?) Buick from Revell, built somewhere in the late 50's for me by my Dad. My Mother helped me build Hubley's Metropolitan sometime prior to 62. The AMT 40 Ford Coupe was the first I built on my own. It holds special memories for me still today and is one of my all time favorite kits.
  19. No cases yet, but I have multiples of many. Then there's that pesky l'il AMT 32 Ford Roadster. I've got 22 of those, ranging from the '59 issue to the Reggie Jackson version, ending with a few of the Pro Shop issue.
  20. I thin Elmers's 50/50 with water. No probs at all. I like it because its easy to paint it into corners, and if it doesnt look right after it has dried I can wash it out with warm water and do it over.
  21. Oh, so THATS what it supposed to look like! I bought this new in maybe, 1968 when it was issued by Heller and found it unbuildable with the skills I had at the time. Great job!!

I love the Plymouth. You sure know how to paint!
  23. Thanks Charlie. Been doing allright this week. I seriously thought of registering a complaint with Sears, but didnt. Priorities prevailed, such a building models! I am grateful for what I do have, especially considering the unemployment a lot of persons are faced with.
  24. OOOO thats nice!
  25. A tough year here too. Chronic health issues I have were getting worse. Then the Sears man came to estimate a new heater. He coughed on me, then apologized saying it was "viral" and not to worry, despite his being ill for 6 months, he was on the mend and not contagious anymore. A few days later I became ill and I am still battling it 9 months later. Needless to say I did not buy a heater from him.
