  1. I've used Testor's Aztec acrylic clear with great results. I dont remember the details other than I pretty much blew it on, it dried rock hard, and polished up fantastic.
  2. Simply Red, "Ill keep holding on", or something like that
  3. Yep thats how mine was back in the day. I could never figure out how to glue the treads to the slicks. At least now I know where those strange plastic slicks in my parts box came from.
  4. That pulley should be the harmonic balancer. Also, if you look at the braided lines coming from the front of the heads it would make sense that they go to an electric pump under the engine.
  5. If your really after a satin finish, there are several options. I think dullcoat might make the paint take on an anodized look like your camera, but I'm not certain. Duplicolor sparyed out of the can will not be very glossy when it dries. The teal 34 Ford below shows how it looks with no clear or polish. The one with the shading is Testors Aztec acrylic, more satin than Duplicolor, but its only in bottles so it needs to be airbrushed.
  6. I dont know.... looks like a cross between an FT86 and an R8, doesnt have the character of the original.
  7. Maybe Greg Holland can do the decals http://vsrnonline.com/gregsdecalgraphics/index.htm
  8. Jeff, welcome back! Thats very nice, very very nice. Great stance, love the paint, grille is awesome.
  9. Can you do ebay? The Aoshima fender sets are very nice. There are several listed right now. The one without wheels/tires is $10. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=aoshima+overfender&_catref=1&_from=R40&_osacat=2580&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xaoshima+fender&_nkw=aoshima+fender&_sacat=2580
  10. Excellent, I love it. Great job on the decals too, looks like Arthur didnt give you any trouble with them
  11. A hot rod 4-door with three on the tree, fantastic!
  12. Here's something obscure You read me my rights and then you said "Let's go" and nothing more I thought of my nights, and how they were They were filled with I know you wouldn't go You'd watch my heart burst then you'd step in I had to know so I asked You just had to laugh
  13. Cab Calloway, Minnie the Moocher, its in the original Blue's Brothers movie.
  14. Dave Reese is selling them, but I am not certain as to his affiliation. http://www.ebay.com/sch/reese_models/m.html?item=291345894662&hash=item43d5918d06&pt=Model_Kit_US&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  15. Well now that gave it away. Humble Pie, 30 Days in the Hole. I didnt recognize the lyrics at first.
  16. 13 to 15 bucks for the Rammuntiton is decent. Ive seen them from a low of 9 to a high of 35, Model Express has them for 22.90 plus shipping of course.
  17. I love that T and the 56 Ford!
  18. I still have mine although the thing has pretty much fallen apart due to its age. Built out of the box except I added a hood scoop. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the rear cab wall is separate and gets added after the interior is in, and the fact that it looks very plain, almost toy-like when compete.
  19. Something weird in another scale.
  20. That sapphire blue was a great color, I also loved this set:
  21. Thats something I would never have thought of. Neat, I like it! If Henry Ford had met Henry Morgan
  22. The story on that 32 was that it was done as an anti-spit and polish rod before the days of billet-proof and rat rods. It was painted with brushes and a bucket of red paint at one of the street rod events by the owner and friends. Later on those magazine pages were applied in a sort of decoupage method. What escapes me is who did it.... Bobby may be right, Pete of Pete and Jakes? It was like, 30 years ago I think.
  23. So you think that it's over, That your love has finally reached the end. Any time you call, night or day, I'll be right there for you if you need a friend.
  24. I just realized there is a better answer. Try One Shot pinstriping paint. Good pigment and coverage, lots of colors, and I hear people rave about it. lays down real well. Google it, TCP global has 1/4 pint tins for about $8.00. http://www.tcpglobal.com/Specialty-Paint/Pinstriping-Standard-Colors/#/?_=1&filter.custitemcustitem_manufacturer_usoffice=One%20Shot&page=1&sort.online_price=asc
