Thanks for the kind words Nathan thinks it is cool to see his work on the computer and loves the compliments. also I jumped the gun as I was informed that we stiil have to add more stuff. so I guess this will be a finished work in progress.
My son Nathan and I built this dio in about a day . We started with a piece of cardboard I primed with some brown primer .using scene a rama foliage and grasses (purchased at michaels for about ten bucks) following the directions included laid down the grass and foliage .next we found some small rocks and twigs and glued them down .I did the gravel road with some additional ballast from the railroad department of the lhs. this was a fun project for both of us and I think it turned out ok. Nathan has a knack for being a little rough on things but this has held up for a month to date.the difficulty level wasn't hard ,the hardest part fo Nathan was waiting for the glue to dry but he made it. and he did apply all the grass and rocks and selected the model all I did was the additional sealing coats of glue and the road and the basic planning/layout.all in all a good first time dio for both of us and at a pretty reasonable price.
You sir are incredible. I really like how well you blend the different eras of styling . when you come up with this stuff do you see it from the start or do you have alot of tweaking along the way? I really enjoy your builds. thanks for sharing.
that is one nice looking '58 and I agree the picture from the side is excellent. curb feelers and antennas ok but don't add any guns for that build off.
Nice Nova . great engine bay,I applaude your trailblazing spirit. I don't have the skills to pull off what you have so I'm going to wait until there is a photo etch set for this kit and maybe a second building version .keep up the good work, cheers
That miss be havin a nice body.looks fun did you do all the art work or is it decals or both? as always I love seeing the stuff you're puttin out there keep it up.
It is up to you if you like em the way they are clean and display.if you got a hankerin' to build one do that . it is all about what you like . some times I like the style modelers were building in that era and keeping an example of years gone by is neat to have on hand.
great job.is the windshield frame the revell part or did that come with the kit.what other parts came with the kit? could one use the chassis from revell for a full detail kit?
I like all the elements you brought together on this build. If I tried a 72 hour build it would somehow transform into a 6 year super build of a 1/25 scale planet earth. or just a bad case of let's just add one more little detail until it becomes too complicated to finish in three days. great job and perhaps I'll try to finish something quickly.
Ron those cars are great hopefully they'll be dirty by the third lap.I bet that herman wins cause rocky is not the type of driver to let a guy like buddy get away with that. like the build keep it up.
