  1. Here's my only try. White primer with Testors Bright Yellow for some contrast:
  2. Hi Marcos, I doubt I'll make it to the next meeting. I've been preocupied with the house, and my son has sworn into the USMC yesterday so Heather and I will want to spend as much time with him as we can before he ships to boot camp. On top of that, I broke a toe on Sunday, so my mobility is limited. Sumb!tch!!!
  3. I have two of these and two of the 240 Z. Was digging for a fresh project last week, but chose a Jag XK 120. Next up?!
  4. I, like you am months away from the half century birthdate. Many fond memories of building the very first few with my Dad... Revell VW bus, IMC VW beetle... Where does the time go?!
  5. Thanks for the praise, guys. I shot the photos rather quickly under not so ideal conditions.
  6. This is one that took way too long to get off of the bench and onto the shelf. Monogram kit with Corvette wheels and tires, some MCG photoetch emblems and finished with Testors Model Master Stop Light Red.
  7. I must be doing something wrong while using the Sophisticated Finishes. can't get the heavily rusted effect.
  8. I... Want... One... Of... THESE!
  9. Lookin' good man. You and I have the same taste with respect to build subject preference. See ya soon! J.B.!
  10. Bring em'. I'm good for at least four sets of 1/25th or 1/24th scale rears, no matter what the 1:1 size replica. Please, bring em'!
  11. Thanks! I assembled and painted the three piece wing seperatly. The downfall to that is it's not an exact color match.
  12. I really wish that I would have thought of some of the things that you have on this build. Great job, here's my mistake...
  13. Hey Ron, If you need the MCG photoetch emblems and dash inlays for this one shoot me an email. It'll save you some $. J.B.
  14. I do feel you pain, man. We moved everything that we have acquired over the years from one house to another over eighteen months ago. Took me three months to get my new model room together and sit down to build. Still doesn't feel right. There is so much yet to do... This weekend we will be doing some basic landscaping, installing the surround sound sound system and toss in some quality family time. I can't find time to build yet. Keep going, it works for me.
  15. I would have to shout that "you nailed this one". I have this kit in the stash waiting for me to get to, but after seeing this one it might not have to wait too long.
  16. Count me in for at least two. How tough will this be to convert it to a 1968?
  17. Been there, done that. Try doing this as a military member moving overseas and then back... Twice! I currently have more damaged models in boxes than on the shelf complete. Life goes on.
  18. I would like to talk with ya. I saw your Magnum in some pictures taken at the NNL. Please PM me if you see this. Thanks, J.B.
  19. Welcome to our little group!

  20. There is a picture of the engine on the box, but is there one in the kit?
  21. Thanks for the responses everyone! I just got off the phone with my buddy Dave an learned that he had a JZX90. He obviously knows more about this than I do (as well as you guys), and Ken he questions your reference of the GX81. Shoud you have meant JX81? That would work for him in a pinch he says. Thanks again! J.B.
  22. Hi guys, a very good friend of mine is after a full engine detail kit of a Toyota Mark II. There are some kits listed on the 'bay, but none of them specify whether or they are full detail or curbside. This is not within the realm of my own interest, but for a friend who was in the military, stationed in Japan and owned one. Thanks in advance.
  23. This is a kit of a really wicked street cafe racer, and a fine one at that. I also have one of these in the stash and am waiting for Tamaya to offer aftermarket upgrade parts like they have done in the past for their Kawasaki kits. We'll see...
  24. Where did you get this kit this soon??? I really want one... or four!
