  1. Every time. I guess that's why I have several hundred kits yet to build. To keep trying to get it right...
  2. I see both sides of this situation. My wife saw that I was spending waaay too much on the hobby and spoke up. I thought about her remarks, took a good look at my stash and recently purchased tools and other associated stuff. Wow! She was waaay right. the only buys in the past 18 months have been some paints. No problems with that!
  3. I have a magnifier light like his, mounted right by a window as well. It never, ever dawned on me that something like this could happen. I've always told my son "learn from mistakes of others".
  4. As long as its oil free, yeah I'm pretty sure it would work well. Wouldn't that be expensive though?
  5. This is simply beyond amazing, beyond fantastic, and way beyond anything I am capable of building myself, and I'm not half bad. The photography is so good that this is a RoM contender. Outstanding work John!
  6. Did the assembly of these wire wheels baffle anyone else, or am I doing something wrong? On the parts labled 'C' and "D' there are posts on the inside center that interfere with the fit of parts 'B'. I think that this post needs to be removed for everything to fit together tightly. Help from someone(s) who have built this kit please help. I need it. Thanks, J.B.
  7. Where exactly are you in southeastern Ohio? I'll be in Cambridge next week for a very brief visit.
  8. Ditto. Also note the clarity of the windshield... Real.
  9. I built one of these kits up a while back exept mine is red, and the air intake on mine is TPI. same cowl induction hood, same wheels, same high back bucket seats. Yours looks exellent!
  10. Thanks Marcos! Don't worry, I have too many kits in my stash that I want to build and there is no way I could abandon this great hobby and the wonerful freinds that come with it. We got the tv not so much for broadcast tv shows, but for sports and blu-ray dvds.
  11. No signs of eye strain yet, but I've only watched less than an hour of full 3-D so far. I'm not at all into gaming, but I have heard that this tv really rocks with 3-d gamers.
  12. By my new Samsung C7000 55 inch HD/3-D television and 3-D Blu-Ray player accompanied with a true surround sound system, all 1080p 240 HZ. This stuff is amazing. I am not gonna work on a model car until the newness of all this wears off. The 3-D simply blows my mind! Oh, don't worry guys, I'm still in the game but I'm going to be sidetracked for a while.
  13. I agree. That's why I'll never do a work in progress. I build painfully slowly.
  14. hey Marcos, Would you believe that I have the very same kit in work on my bench?! And for the very same reasons as you. Do great minds really think alike? Actually I'm thinking black for mine, but the dark silver looks great on yours. And with the same idea for the brass/gold colored wheels. I can't live with the kit supplied tires, so I'll have to dig up some acceptable replacements. This is cool!!! See you in December with 'em?
  15. Nice job again Ron. I'm thinking about starting the Monogram hardtop offering of this kit, again in triple black. We'll see.
  16. Who makes the best 32 Ford? Lyle Willits. Hands down.
  17. Sure! Look no further than your empty Model Master paint jars. Ther'e perfect. Clean 'em out and use 'em again.
  18. Hi Dave! No, the seats are the standard perforated leather, and they have deteriorated badly in the last few years. But yeah, there is no way to sneak around town in one of these!
  19. what I have for now... We'll see just what the future will bring.
  20. Dave, Bill and Lyle have split???! What happened?
  21. Wow! I thought that a broken toe was a good reason for some bench time...! I'm not gonna go as far as you did, though!
  22. I have to say "Thank You" you Clay. Myself, I served for alot of years in the USN until the flight surgeon told me that I was done. I now work for the DoD as a contractor. My son who I am extremley proud of has enlisted, and is currently in DEP with the USMC. Parris Island on January 24th. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! America, love her or leave her, just don't try to sneak into her.
  23. I like... Alot! Very nice work!
  24. Man, I'm missing way too much fun. I'll be back, just not sure when. Thanks much for the pics Lyle, and Marcos, I want to see you guys soon.
  25. Nice Bart, very nice! The color works well with your choice of custom ideas. I like!!!
