  1. I must agree with everyone here Randy. Yours is an outstanding example of this kit. I have three in the stash that I want to get to. But with a bench full of current projects and interesting new subjects being released I have yet to get to one. Great build! J.B.
  2. Hi all, I'm asking if a model car that is entered in the box stock category can be modified in any way using only the parts that are included in the kit by modifying these parts? I would like to eliminate the odd looking bumpers and give the car some smoother looks including side glass that has been rolled down about halfway. Would this fit into the category or be eliminated? There will be no aftermarket or scratch built parts included in this build. Input... Lyle?
  3. Another score!for you hawk! Great looking build of this kit. We gotta meet up!
  4. Please count me in Jason. LT motors have a lot of potential for me.
  5. Too sweet, just too sweet. Perfect detail. I also am not an avid fan of this new Camaro, but your ideas are inspiring. Great work, man!
  6. Thank you Ron for the great review and additional information about the 442 differences. I got one of these kits on Monday, and even before I cracked the shrink wrap I knew that I wanted to build both versions. An uptop would be a huge bonus! Do you know if the Model Car Garage has any plans for a photoetch kit for this one? I think that would be the icing on the cake... J.B.
  7. Marcos- How the heck do you build so many great looking models so quickly??? I can't seem to get even two off the bench and onto the shelf in a year! Forget about building for the tables for me. At least for now. Fantastic jobs, man!
  8. I can only wish. Ft. Lauderdale was great for a couple of spring breaks, Key West was even better! I do miss those days, most of which my wife of 23 years doesn't know about...
  9. All I get from this post is the advertising page. I have a couple of these kits waiting in the stash, but my imagination has so far failed me for these...
  10. I left work at about 10:30 here in southern Maryland and a usual ten minute drive to the house took me ~thirty minutes in a Camaro Z/28 6 speed. Yeah, I could have been the one who was slowing someone down behind me but with three hundred horsepower and rear wheel drive with summer performance tires and four inches of brand new snow on unplowed curvy, hilly roads I got sideways several times. The car is now garaged until spring hits!
  11. The headers on this yet to be finished '32 are fabbed out from .060 inch solid solder. The collectors will be done with a short piece of aluminum tubing wrapped with electrical heat shrink. I've done it in the past and found that it can look pretty good.
  12. None? Are you sure? I think that I've seen one or....seventeen on the tables around here with your name associated with it/them... Tell the truth!
  13. Ron... You have added some great models to your collection. I love the Buick! My own 2009 build year consists of only three model cars, and one is not yet finished. Heather and I are looking very forward to seeing what you have accomplished (More greatness!) on December 19 at the MAMA meeting.
  14. Another one...
  15. Who am I listening to? Violin virtuoso David Garrett. This guy plays (classical) Vivaldi and Brahms as well as he plays (rock) AC/DC and Metallica on the violin, backed with either a full symphony orchestra or a five piece rock band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtPMPQePBFE My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in a small venue in Annapolis, M.D. this past October, and it was a fantastic experience. We'll see him again in Bethesda in April. Click on the link and give him a listen, you might like!
  16. Ron, that is a simply beautiful restoration and transformation! I am actively seeking this kit to do a build of one of the cars used in the USA Network series "Burn Notice". Any idea who might have one? Fantastic job, man! J.B.
  17. Looks fantastic Marcos, is it going to be at MAMA tomorrow? I've got a '65 Impala SS396 (or Caprice....?) almost done that would look great side by side with your Goat. See ya soon! You haven't told where in MD you live! J.B.
  18. I like to build muscle cars in scale. Here are some... And the real drivers...
  19. I'm a "view new posts" seeker and since I'm here at least twice a day I am up to speed on the latest topics and updates. Love it!
  20. Before you do something like this you ask yourself if you're crazy?! You've got ballz the size of church bells, man!!! My hat is off to you, again. Very well done. Not crazy at all, unless you consider your attitude "crazy for life", but once again you can call it anything you wish. J.B.
  21. Please put me in for at least two sets of these wheels. Any tire recommendations?
  22. Hi Bob, you've heard from me before and you'll hear from me again soon. Thanks for the heads up, I've just got to get this past Heather the banker! You have a lotta' stuff that I want, some I really need, so I'll be sending you some money.
  23. Great pics, thank you for them!
  24. Another absolutly beautiful build, Marcos! I have a 1931 Rolls Royce Phantom II from the old Monogram "Museum Piece" series that I wanna get to, but I have to get a couple off the bench & onto the shelf first. Great job, man.
  25. DISCLAIMER: I am not feeling sorry for myself! I suffer with a Spinal cord arteriovenous malformation (AVM). I realize nobody here knows what this is, but if you want to, just Google it. I was active duty Navy when I was diagnosed, but not anymore because of it. Medical discharge. Late in my diagnosis process I was told by a neurosurgeon that I would be in a wheelchair within one year, and I quickly replied "no sir, I won't". That was in 1996. Today I walk with a limp, have pain, but that wheelchair is still waaaay in my future (and its gonna be a cool one... think flames!). So I believe that what you say does have merit. I call it mind over matter, but you can call it anything you wish.
