Reliable Resin question

Watch what you say about Reliable. After my last comment at 821 AM it was sent to Don at Reliable by someone from the forum and Don called me with questions. -

Some A12 related questions
KevinMoparFord replied to Stuntman Mike's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
69 GTX and Road Runner exhaust tips are the same and you could use them. A12 cars did have tips unless California car, then no tips and a standard down turned exhaust used. Most A12 cars are very basic, bench seat, no vinyl top, but you could get them with the same options as regular Road Runners with the exception of air conditioning. Rear end would be the Dana style rear end as part of the A12 package. Usually plain steel wheels no hubcaps. -
Got these resin parts, from a vendor I cannot name because it will be censored, but these took 14 months to arrive, the clear amber lenses are not so clear and lots of flash. At least I got them.

Working on a quick build of a Zinger Super Vette. Some pictures show smoked glass but I do not see any in the latest issue. I have a Zinger van opened and the glass is on the black parts tree, not really glass at all. Instructions do not show any glass getting installed. Is my kit missing it or is it not in this issue?

Here are my Hemi carbs in the 69 Charger R/T. I do feel a little embarrassed even posting this shot after seeing the ones from Mr. Obsessive.

Improved Lighting & Magnification Options?
KevinMoparFord replied to nitrojunkie's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
We were just talking about these at our meeting the other night. One of our memebers said that Amazon has a large selection of different styles and the price was good. He found a rectangular shaped one that he recommended. Have not searched for it myself yet, but just thought I would pass that on. -
He was just afraid to compete with Tom K. now that Tom has watched his video and started using an airbrush! North Coast Automotive Modelers should have 5 Gremlins there.

What do you drive?
KevinMoparFord replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here are my toys. Everyday driver, luckily I work from home so I do not have to really drive it everyday, 2009 F150 Crew Cab. And the fun cars are a 1970 Coronet RT, 1969 Chrysler 300 Convertible, and 1960 Thunderbird. The Thunderbird just turned 48000 miles and is unrestored, 90% original paint, all original chrome, and I added the wire wheels, still have the original wheels and hub caps with bias ply tires for shows. -
If you want pictures and some background on the car go here: http://blogs.hotrod.com/50th-ridler-winner-is-a-brand-new-builder-ron-cizeks-cac-built-40-ford-sweeps-detroit-autorama-2013-47717.html#axzz2NHYkXGWU

Issue #174 Is In The House!
KevinMoparFord replied to Danno's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How about this? One of our club members ahd same issue with a car magazine. Called to complain on a regular basis. Finally the guy said your issue must be the top one in the bundle, is the zip code where you work different than home? He said yes, had the addressed changed to work, and the problem did go away He did ask the magazine guy if that meant the next person who will now be on top will probably have the same issue and the guy said 'yes'. So problem fixed for one may casue issue for another. As I see it, the PO wants to complain that mail delivery is going down, but until they improve their own service especially with magazines I do not subscribe unless it is a SIGNIFICANT savings. I still get Hemming Muscle because delevered it is 4 or 5 bucks cheaper than getting it off magazine shelf. Other magazines that are almost the same price, I do not get the subscription, wait and see if I like it, then buy it off the shelf. I like going to LHS and looking around and luckily it is less than 10 miles from the house so I just go get Model Cars about a week after I see first post saying someone got theirs, seems to be the correct wait time. -
Completed a great trade with Toast, Ryan Chatleain. No problems with trading with him. Trade completed with TurboKitty, Michelle Blanchard, great trade with no problems. Just had a great trade with VW Dave and recommend trades with him. Traded with Lazlow and no complaints! Would recommend a deal with him anytime. Adding Kennb to my list, I EDITED THIS POST TO MAKE SURE I WOULD NOT GET MY HAND SLAPPED FOR ADDING A NEW ONE IN WHERE PEOPLE MAY ACTUALLY SEE IT.

Highly recommend their work. I have the Hornet SC on the work bench right now, pictures under the on work bench section. THe only clean up I had to do was the front valance fit. Body was just about perfect, very little clean up.

Air Cleaners question

The bottom right one I think someone is making, I think you get it with two carbs, Maybe Mike;s Scale Speed Shop or Competiton Resin? -
Revell Customer Service
KevinMoparFord replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I ordered tires, and it was before Christmas, and I got them first full week of January. I am not complaining, just making people aware it may take 2-3 weeks but they did come through. -
1/16 Revell Hawaiian Dodge Charger Funny Car
KevinMoparFord replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I am glad to hear this, but a little shocked. Talked with the Revell guy at Toledo about 1/16 scale cars and he said there was no money to be made on that scale car and he did not see the funny car being reissued. Nice if they changed their minds and get them out there. -
I have had a few good trades and unfortunately did not post hear but will start now. I know I have had good luck with Outragis and just got kits from PowerPlant, Matija Vasic from Croatia. FYI, the Croatia shipment took about 2 weeks and from Ohio to Croatia was a little less. No problems trading with either and recommend dealing with either of these guys! Just completed a trade with MCM Ohana, Josh Crolley and he is recommended. No complaints from me! Completed a great trade with Toast, Ryan Chatleain. No problems with trading with him. Trade completed with TurboKitty, Michelle Blanchard, great trade with no problems. Great trade with 20dakato04, fast shipping and everything just as described in his post.

I have number 942. It is better then the Monsters in Motion disaster of a resin I have. I would trade that off for two kits any day.

I really think it depends on the post office and if someone working there is reading it and passing it around before it gets to you. I had the same isseu with Mopar Collector's Guide, none of my other magazines, just that one. My borther who lives only 7 miles away would get his almost 2 weeks before mine and in much better shape. I finally paid their up charge to get it shipped in plastic, was an extra $10 but gave other on line benefits, and the first one came with the back of the plastic slit enough to tkae the magazine out and read it. Finally filed complaint with the post office and have not had any problems since. Still get in plastic, and no issues.
