  1. On the other hand, when I take my car to the dealership for service, they take out the engine and cabin air filters, take pictures of the filters, put the filters back in, text me pictures of the filters and quote me a price of $130 or so to change the filters. I can purchase the filters for about $20 each and each one takes about 5 minutes to install.
  2. The wheels and quick change housing on that belly tank are really cool. Lots of incredible detail in those two photos.
  3. Will visited GSL last time and I spent some time visiting with him. Nice guy.
  4. I'm so tired of Kindig's sidekick Kevin and his "hijinks". And I want to see them test their cars on the killer speed bumps on 300 East.
  5. until
  6. Rivian pickup set up for "overlanding".
  7. In the parking lot at the Canepa Collection on Friday afternoon
  8. Oh I know that. Same with the "Pull over, we're car guys" bits.
  9. There is a tesla store across the street from the hotel I stayed in over the weekend. Plus a zillion of the cars on the streets in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara etc.
  10. On my weekend trip to NNL West I saw a Rivian pickup and SUV on separate occasions. Also spotted a Lucid. And a million Teslas. They are all over silicone valley.
  11. When Danny and one of his buddies go up to someone's door in their biker drag to ask about a car thy have found they look like a couple of over-age kids going out trick-or-treating.
  12. I scored pretty well in the Raffle at NNL West on Saturday. 1/16 scale AMT 79 Firebird and a bunch of aftermarket resin and 3D parts. Swap meet scores included the 68 El Camino I was looking for, a resin Zipper Deuce roadster body with a R&D cast metal frame, a couple of bagged kits and some other parts and goodies. Also we checked out a local hobby shop that has mostly RC stuff but they also have a good stock of current kits at reasonable prices and a good inventory of paint and supplies. They have some bottles of Model Master paint still.
  13. Guys on facebook pages and online forums will find it necessary to change batteries every 5000 miles like they "need" to change transmission fluid every 30,000 miles in conventional cars.
  14. Thanks. Edited my post. Sorry Robert.
  15. I found the Revell 71 Olds 442 kit at Burbank's House of Hobbies on Tuesday. I looked in the bargain bin and there was a built JoHan 70 442 in a bag with another car for $5.00. Sold.
  16. Robert Burns (Too Many Projects on FB) has 3d printed 73 Grand Am Bodies available. They are really nice. He makes 2-door and 4-door versions.
  17. I think a better way to get a retooled 70-71 Cyclone is for Revell to use the 70 Torino GT/Cobra tool for the chassis and engine. Missing link and Gerry Chevalier have cast their recent resin Cyclone trans kits to use the Revell chassis.
  18. I consider my Outback a "shooting brake" when I go to the range LOL
  19. My Hemmings Classic Car arrived. #217 also. New stuff for the top of the tank.
  20. A bright yellow 71 GTO. 64 Impala 2-door hardtop. 46-47 Chevy coupe
  21. It sounded really good too.
