  1. AMT/MPC 69 Cutlass chassis might work too.
  2. Went to HLL. Deja vu all over again. Walked out with what I walked in with. Just as well, seeing as I paid a deposit for something else that will cost considerably more than a few kits. And make a lot more noise when used. Current issue Revell 77 Trans Am kit i purchased on eBay arrived today.
  3. A lot of Revell kits have those circular seals. Probably "greener" than the shrink wrap.
  4. Fujimi Ferrari GTO kit arrived yesterday from HLJ.
  5. Thanks. I have sufficient Cougar kits now. Probably way too many.
  6. For a long time I would pick up the 69 Cougar XR 7 Street Machine kit at the LHS and look at it, then put it back. Then I got a full-sized 69 Cougar XR 7. Guess what was gone the next time i visited the LHS?
  7. If you believe what people post on most online forums, headlights on most cars available today are totally inadequate. But it's cool to tint the lenses. My son put aftermarket LED headlights on his Chevy Colorado. They're horrible. On the other hand the Hella quartz halogen headlights in my 69 Cougar are incredible.
  8. Is there some sort of filler on the trunk lid?
  9. Maybe Revell 72 Cutlass?
  10. Bet it got good MPG numbers in the EPA lab. Years ago I had a 78 Zephyr with a 4-cylinder/4-speed. A whopping 88 horsepower. Poor engine had to work really hard to keep up with traffic and drive in real-world conditions. I think I managed 20 MPG a couple of times on road trips. Bet the EPA MPG figures were better than reality. (I upgraded suspension and tires so it was fun to drive at least)
  11. Looking at the side trim and the trim around the taillights, this looks more like an 82 Cougar wagon.
  12. Years ago a friend purchased a 67 Chevy pickup that had a 73-ish Ford bed on it.
  13. This thread took a turn....
  14. I should dig my 65 out and take a look.
  15. It looks like the sail panel vents might be a separate piece. That would pave the way for a later 66 GT350 version.
  16. I agree. The fastback interior bucket is not the same as the one in the hardtop kit.
  17. Red 68 GTO hardtop. Red 65 Mustang hardtop with Cragars.
  18. It was difficult to remove the whitewall stickers from the backing sheet without stretching them.
  19. I have one of those in my collection. I was really surprised to find this kit in the Union packaging.
  20. I saw this in the parts/accessory department of a local ("local" = Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks) Mercedes-Benz dealership. It is 5-6 feet long. They had a white one too.
  21. Remember when most pool guys and gardeners drove El Caminos?
  22. No glass but Robert provides bucks to help form front and rear windows from clear styrene or acetate. That's what is in Bill's hand.
  23. 72 Challenger. It looked really long, low and sleek compared to the current model. 71 Impala 2-door Rolls-Royce Wraith Coupe. Matte bronze/black with blacked out trim. AMG Mercedes SLS 6.3 Gullwing Coupe. And a lot of more common upper end Mercedes and BMWs. I was in the affluent end of the San Fernando Valley.
