  1. Speed City Resin casts a really nice 66 Dart.
  2. I just picked up a JoHan 69 Roadrunner kit at NNL West for practically nothing. Complete, molded in red. Body primered but otherwise untouched, engine, chassis and interior parts painted flat black. Score.
  3. At our last club meeting Michael said he plans to do a cargo van and later a wagon. No time frame given though. He has some other really cool stuff in the pipeline.
  4. We got a pretty good amount for it. Should have got more, the engine was freshly rebuilt shortly before the sale. Bought a GMC Safari as a replacement family hauler. I still have my 69 Cougar. I got that in 1986 too.
  5. I still have a Montego GT grille emblem I bolted to the grille of the wagon. Always wanted to get the matching scooped hood too. Interesting that the plastic insert for the Montego GT emblem is the same as the one on a 66 Fairlane GT.
  6. That would be cool. I wish Revell would do a 72 Montego GT based on the 75 Torino tool.
  7. We rented it to Paramount for the first movie then sold it to them for the second. Sometimes I wish I still had it. It was our family hauler (4 kids) for a few years. My parents bought one new and I bought mine in 1986. Both had the same drivetrain - 400/2V with a C6 trans.
  8. Not my work. Michael, the proprietor of Best Model Car Parts, created the master and cast this kit. I believe he started with an IMC Dodge A-100 pickup. And a pile of Evergreen.
  9. And now back to wherever the original thread was going......
  10. I liked it better in white with the whitewalls. Picture car company took off my factory bumper guards and lost them. Front ones were hard to find. Cleaning up the body for paint was a real pain. This was originally a Villager, with the vinyl fake wood. Not easy to remove.
  11. It has been interesting to watch the master for this kit evolve over the last year. Michael's work is always excellent and spot-on. The result is amazing.
  12. White lettered tires are probably a paid product placement. Back in the 90s Paramount Studios rented my 72 Montego wagon to use in "The Brady Bunch Movie" Along with painting my white car metallic brown, they replaced my whitewall tires with white-lettered Goodyear tires. The picture car company said it was a product placement, that Goodyear was paying for the tires to be seen in the movie.
  13. Entex did the early RX-7 in 1/25 as well.
  14. And a catalytic Converter. And HEI
  15. I found an 85 Cutlass kit at HL the other day.
  16. Scheissbraun.
  17. Missing Link (Kevin) cast a 66 Ford convertible. Not sure if he still makes them though. It wouldn't be difficult to cut the roof off an AMT 65 Galaxie. You would need to find a suitable boot to cover the top well.
  18. There were promos of the Geo Storm, which was the base car for these Isuzu monstrosities. The original Impulse (Piazza) was much better looking.
  19. Hendrix cast a 65 Ford 2-door sedan at one time.
  20. I heard something a while back. My lips are sealed, and my fingers unable to type what it is.
  21. I'd like one Sam.
  22. On Tuesday I was notified that my order from June 16 is on its way.
  23. I have one of the R&MCofM 50 dashes and it is really nice. A kit in itself. The trim around and under the cluster is a separate piece, the knobs are separate pieces and there are two different-colored instrument inserts, with a separate clear lens.
  24. Don't forget the Shelby fastback and convertible that were based on the 69-70 Mustang tooling.
